Remember, if you're too slow on getting to phase 2, you'll fly over dun niffelem and you'll start losing grip rapidly. No matter how much you spam the grip button over dun niffelem, you can't hold on. So you gotta get to phase 2 fast.

I keep trying, but I can't do this damned quest. My latency's pretty high at the moment but I also couldn't do it yesterday when it was fine. I couldn't stand the constant high repcost so I'm doing this quest naked. I do get the wyrm down to about 50% but then my grip fails and I fall. No matter how much I tighten my grip it always fails. And Dodge Claws makes it even worse. Since I started dumping Dodge Claws I managed to do more damage in lesser time. But it just doesn't seem to be enough...

i have been doing this daily many many times before succesfully. But starting today i just cant get it done for some reason. Dodge just wont work for me. Whatever i do it wont dodge when i press 2 after the warning. Kills me before even reaching phase 2.

i got exalted now , thanks to this video. thing is, i tried doing this for my warrior friend and for some reason , kept dying, now i realize this is actually extremely lag based. that is, if you lag, you will die/fail the quest

One issue is that spamming the regular attack does decrease your grip. If you follow this guide literally, at times there can be a stretch between claw attacks in which your grip will fail if you're just spamming the attack. Also the guide fails to mention that if you're in phase one for too long and you get back over Dun Niffelem, your grip starts dropping very fast.

A good guide otherwise.
