  • I live in louisville Kentucky and I've seen it it looks awesome I'm going there this Halloween

  • i went there before and just the sight of it was scary....

  • you can see it from my house

  • Seeing all the movies on you tube makes me wanna go there, I live in The Netherlands, Europe, but im so courious, that i wanna make a trip to the USA

  • do you think without the vandalism and the pictures it would be more terrifying?

  • 63,000 died patients is definately wrong: Its prooved that it had "only" been a bit more than 8,000. Still enough.

Does someone know if the building will be restaurated?

  • @ChillinRaver

First of all, stop going to raves and start attending English and vocabulary courses. Those squiggly red lines under half of your post should tell you that. It's possible that your relaxed grip of the English language has caused you to mistake 63,000 for 8,000. Seeing as the place became a geriatric hospital after the TB ward shut down, an additional 55,000 deaths is definitely (no A there, chief) accurate. Oh, and "restaurated" isn't even close to being a real word.

  • @CatchinPredators2011 Oh, what a pitty that I live in a land where people do not speak english: If you would try answering in German, I wouldn`t make fun of your poor effort. A German PC also dosn`t make "red lines" by spellingmistakes: It is an german PC.

If you would make your homework, than you would know that all hospital dokuments still exist and there only were some more than 8,000 dokumented deaths...55,000 or 63,000 is an urban legend ;-)

  • @CatchinPredators2011 You should not concern about me going to Raves or not, you should better practice toleranze of people speaking other languages: Yourè an racist. Better spend time at investigating urban legends...it is not always the truth what you read/hear at Youtube, you rasistic nerd

  • This place is quite interesting really. And no, she is not full of bullshit. The doctors at this hospital did horrendous things to their patients, and that's why they're still here. I live really close to it, so, out of curiosity I did some research and I've become positive that they're not evil spirits but they're unsettled. You can spend fifty dollars and do an overnight there. If you stay the whole night, they refund you 100 dollars because so few people make I through the night. I'd persona

  • @themollygraceism they did horrible things to most patients back in those days. Especially the mentally disabled.

  • shes full of bullshit !

  • my speakers sound funny watching this, why has my left speaker sound like bollox, and this progrm is bullshit they havnt a clue, u are nothing like the best out there

  • only 10,000 died there

  • i think this place is definitely haunted, but also seriously misunderstood.

  • I could walk there if i wanted to...literally 5 minutes away! Scary :D

  • do you know how much weeds i would smoke if i were to go there!!!!

  • This July, Me and My Uncle are gonna go on the Paranormal/ Historical tour because I'm almost 13 :P But yeah...I'm in LOVE with Waverly, Me and my Aunt and her husband drove up to the Gate of Waverly, I think Waverly is BEAUTIFUL!!! :)

  • i live right by the gates by once upon a child. i could walk there if i wanted to. planning to do so!

  • im from kentucky!

  • @lauryn1011133 is there a kfc at waverly hills?

  • @debelabibica yep, thats why the ghost stick around.

  • @lauryn1011133 coming to stay to then!

  • maybe they are jinns walking around a deserted place.

  • so basically it's a hospital? and then a whole bunch people died due to disease and illness...doesn't sound too scary.

  • @dendara100 It was a hospital created to treat Tuberculosis. It had a tunnel (Called "Body Chute"), they made it to get medicines (they used to go through the tunnel because it was quicker to bring them to the top of the hospital). When people started dying every day, they threw the bodies into that tunnel to avoid the patients knowing about it (And to avoid the disease from spreading). They buried more than 60,000 in the Body Chute.

This is what I know about it by researching and stuff xD

  • @ViSuperDH burying in the Chute?? Now that's a little morbid and creepy XD Thanks for the research

  • i rarely cry too,and i am only madd when someone dies but im not crying.

  • @jamesthq If you can get a private overnight YES it is worth the detour.. When we went last year our group consisted of 9 people, there was a total of 4 groups. Each group had their own floor for 1 1/2 hrs appx... mid way through the night people from other groups were wandering around on their own on other floors so it was a bit annoying.. We're going back in June for a private overnight. It was an experience for sure. Gl on your trip if you choose to go you best book soon.

  • How can anybody take a nap there?

  • So many of the windows are missing!

  • 8 people were scared

  • What camera do you use? The sound quality of this video is excellent! I feel like these people are in the room with me.

  • I did an over night at Waverly last year.. They do have security cameras set up all over.. The night I was there they caught people who trespassed, don't know what happen to them after the security guy whisked them away though but they were caught fast for sure

  • @xxmommamia1111xx Im from England and Im doing a road trip from Miami where Im shipping my car to Los Angeles. I've always wanted to visit this place so in your opinion is it worth a small detor to do a ghost tour there? Sounds sick

  • moviesonlineathome com/watch-17641-Spooked-The-Ghosts-of-Waverly-Hills-Sanatorium

  • My aunt Silva is a surviver from waverly hills. She has pictures too. so if a ghost tries to get me all i have to say is "you cant scare me because im related to silva and she will be ticked at you" and they are thinking about letting me and my family in for free.

  • Sounds like a nice little business going on there now. How do you become the 'owner' of such a site!

  • when this place is finished being renoveated will it be open to the pubic

  • I was one of the few who went down the hall.

I ended up having something pull my hair and push me. then i herd someone say "I wanna play" then i started to walk back taking 1 step every 2 secounds and then i froze. I couldnt move...somthing had grabbed me and held me down like concrete. then i got up and saw two shadows behind me and ran like hell twards the group. Scariest experiance EVER

  • Several years ago when the place was under different ownership, there were no security, or piss poor security. I remember as a teenager we'd go party up there on the weekends. But now that someone owns it who actually gives a damn, and is trying to do something with the property, there are security and while you may not go to jail and just get off with a warning, there is always a chance you could get locked up. Your best bet is setting up a tour, or an overnight.

  • i really want to go there :D need some adrenaline, haha xd

and I would, but im from fuckin' Croatia, and im 16 :/

    :D

but I hope some day I will get a chance to go there.

  • can anyone tell me if there are cops there to keep you out?

  • @uncleskrewg123

If you try to sneak in you will most likely be caught. They have their own security, and the police patrol the area as well. You're better off scheduling an overnight through the appropriate channels.

  • @madonesproductions Was just there last night. No security. The only thing we saw was a cop chilling in the golf course parking lot. So we just parked at the church and walked up.

  • @uncleskrewg123 there is no need to try to sneak in....u can do it without trespassing....

  • was there a show where celebs did this on mtv like 4 or 5 years ago, what was it called please

  • @JonL31674

It was called Fear and was pretty popular at the time. I think they canceled it because it cost so much to film the episodes.

  • @JonL31674 it was called Celeberity Paranormal

  • @JonL31674

It was called Cleberity {aranormal Project

  • I'd go in there..during the day haha

  • I absolutely love Waverly. I go 2-3 times a year.

  • nasty. 50 year old blood

  • I went there in 2009 and it was great. My grandmother was ther from her age of 12-26 of tuburculosis then got out and lived freely for about another 20 years and when it turned into a nursing home thats were she went and then died there. But waverly is a great place if you really want too be scared. Especially just standing on the outside of it. Does anyone know how the haunted hotel is in downtown? Im going there saturday so i want too know if its good.

  • I am going there in a few weeks..XD

  • I am not far from there I would like to go

  • i investigated this place back in may of 2010 and ive experienced a lot of paranormal activity there i love waverly hills i wanna go back there so bad.

  • Comment removed

  • Nice vid. My group just did Mansfield Reformatory & Prospect Place (both were incredible) and looking forward to WH hopefully in 2011.

  • Love the goofy little song there!! Awesome..lol!

  • Great video. I can't wait to see more of your upcoming work.

  • The should refurbish it from within and turn into a luxury hotel.

  • @DetroitLove4U They [the current owners] are actually working on refurbishing it and turning it into a hotel. You can already book overnight tours in it though...

  • Just got back from Waverly Hills, we spend Suday from 8pm until 4am Monday morning. Very interesting visit but unfortunately we didn't really meet anyone not attached to our 6 person group. Actually I didn't find the place scary at all but it was fun to walk the wards in near total darkness as we didn't bother with our lights as it was a full moon. Bit expensive at $100 per person for the night but like I said it was interesting.

  • The owners want to turn it into a 4 star hotel.

  • I'm 19 years old, I live 20 minutes from this place, and I still haven't been there. I need to experience this first hand

  • who cares about the TB, I'm thinking about the abestos...

  • who the hell goes and lays down to take a nap in a morgue, besides a dead person

  • like ther should be like 1ooo ppl there so like not that ppl can die

  • i live like 3 hrs from this place

  • 63,000 people did not die there!!! Only 3,000! 63,000 people died in the whole country.

  • wasn't it 6,000 that died? I read that records were lost.....but yeah you're right about the 63,000 being a national total.

  • @JeffreyTheGuy Uhm I thought it was 8000? Oo

  • @Lihannanshee 3000 at most.

  • welcome home sanitarium :P

  • IR cameras and EMF detectors dont lie, there is something going on there. On one account, ghost hunters flicked a light switch and sparks came from the fixture, even though the building has been off the grid 20 years, and the circuit breakers are utterly destroyed. There is energy there. At night people claim the building is lit up. There is energy there, and for the sake of science, its a place to visit. Where or what is causing the energy?

  • sounds liek she's talking about sleep paralysis. It's scarey but not paranormal

  • sleep paralysis sucks so bad.... i hate it. Oh annd im going to waverly hills sanitorium tonight!!! just me and my friend! AHHHHHH

  • Wow, I don't live that far from Waverly Hills

  • i fucking love this place, best place on earth, please tell me u agree

  • i agree hahaha.....

  • am i missing something here or had this place not been deemed at least once the scariest place on earth i will say this for those who havent been there for a night go for yourselves then tell me it didnt creep you out i have been there and im open minded its certainly different!

  • the # is 6000...

  • freky..

  • Where did they get the 63,000 death number? Sounds really, really high. Maybe the people that came up with that number were really, really high.

  • its called recording deaths......

  • @61Slughi

If there are ghosts there they are more likely from the elderly that died there when it became an abysmal, horrid nursing home that got shut down because of the absolutely awful way they treated the old folks there.

  • I live right next to it its not really that scary you just scae yourself they make up this stuff............there is ghost but they overdramatic

  • i live right across the river from this place, and ive never been yet...i would love to go see it for myself someday...

  • I really need to go there to see it for myself

  • @DinkyMax

You won't be disappointed. I believe it's only open to the public in October.

  • I think there is too much demanding evidence that supports the existence of something we cannot pickup on whether it is the deceased or some thing else I do not know. I have had my own experiences that go against scientific logic and rational thought thus making me think that there is more to everything than meets the eye. Just remember that only several hundred years ago humans thought the world was flat..

  • there is a very good documetaire about this place. called spooked.

you should watch it and it's scary and interesting.

  • ugh SPOOKED is nothing more than a few guys w/ cameras getting thier buddies to go & hide & then jump out 4 a sec

  • yea the EVP's sounded like it was tampered with and made to sound scary...

  • Blood Vials with TB blood in them, Delicious. I wonder if the EPA or the infectious disease folks would be interested in that...

  • I would be more scared of some lingering TB germs in that place...

  • @BrianMorrison71 could be a problem, but most mesophiles like M. tuberculous live a few days to a few weeks... hospital closed somewhere in 1960's, that's 50 years almost, I'd say you're pretty safe, doesn't hurt to wash your hands I guess...or not lick the walls and stuff... now back to the non-existent ghosts XD

  • thats what u believe... just cause u think there not real doesnt mean they arnt who are you to say ???

  • lame

  • My Mom lives 5 minutes away, but i've never been hear, i'veheard some pretty scary stuff tho.

  • hey guys i just got back from waverly hills for some reason our camera died and when it died there was a snap like twigs or sumthing

and when we looked there was somthing peeking out of an office we ran and we heard a yell we stoped and my dad who is 47 years old

went to check it out nothing was there so i believe this place is really haunted

  • how do explain the other investigations and the movements of the ball in other videos ?

i just "found" waverly few time ago and im just wondering

  • shut up man the sanatorium is in the middle of nowhere and there are no houses there only the sanatorium

  • your and idiot you dont know wtf your talking about i live in this area ive been all threw this place its not haunted its an old vandaled building

  • hey u stupid bitch, why u watch these videos to bad mouth people who pay for tours and shit, u might have not seen anything the times u been in there but that dont mean everybody else hasnt seen anything, if ur ganna bad mouth people jus dont comment okay asshole. ghosts are real ive seen alot of shit and ill tell u sumthin, ive been in waverly hills and i'll never go in there again. That place scared the shit outta me. So just shut the fuck up!!!!

  • I know better because I've been there. And there's no need for the negativity. Don't be rude.

  • a bunch of lies

  • y'know...

i live about an hour or so away from here

    but ive never been

    always wanted to though

  • I live right near there.

  • Welcome to where time stands still

No one leaves and no one will

Moon is full, never seems to change

Dream the same thing every night

I see our freedom in my sight

No locked doors, no windows barred

No things to make my brain seem scarred

    welcome home

  • Thats Tina Mattingley right? she and her husband Charlie Mattingley are the owners of waverley .

  • When a dead person, lays over you its said that you should pray many times or just cuz the ghost out. try it!

  • i live close dont go unless u dont scare easy its freaky

  • The teenagers that trashed the place didn't seem too scared, I wonder why they weren't hunted down one by one by the nurse with no face?????

  • cause maybe they were on drugs by the time they were doing all that stuff, and drugs makes you see stuff that isnt real so maybe they did see the stuff but they said "oh we are all druged up so its all normal all the shit we are seeing at the moment" so they kept trashing the place.

  • Rofl. Serious.

  • theres a ghost in mah attic its friendly tho my dog always stays downstairs aswell.

  • no there isn't you are just stupid lol

  • how did u guess!!!

  • 2:12 THE DOG thats the source of the angry spirits!! ( im just kidding, im not saying there isnt such thing as ghost and spirits, in fact i believe there real ^^ and there nothing to be afraid of

  • My mom toured this place

  • Hey,

Can anyone tell me what the song in the beginning is? Haha, I like it! =] Thx.

    -Molly.

  • william elliot whitmore - one man's shame

    gotta love Vcast song ID..enjoi

  • that fat lady in the begining is full of shit iam shure its haunted an iam shure that if you go there your prolly have some type of expierence but she was trying to hard to sell the story if its haunted all you have to do is be like pay me to research an find out your self dont tell me your half ass story it would make me think that shes trying to pump fear in my heart ,thats my opinion!!!

  • the lady that owns the place i beleave her but i dont buy the shit the other lady was saying i could be wrong tho..... but to each there own!!! i would like too goo there!!!

  • all the sanitariums are haunted pple don't believe but they do exist and paranormal does exist too i believe in ghost and seen them myself such as my dead neighbor at least dead for a month in his apt, and he was staring at me and i told him hi but he did not answer me which was weird but hey its cool to believe

  • no, the REAL deaths were close to 8,000. 60-70,000 is a rumoured legend. i have been several times.

  • No, I live in Louisville and used to go all the time to Waverly and yes the death toll is really 74,000 deaths.

  • wait.....2 or 3 mor pppl coming bak?....interesting

  • i was the "brave soul" on one tor. i walked back and everyone was like "wtf is that". apparently there was this huge black mass surrounding me (i personally asked 3 of my friends and they all swear there was something). they said it was like a huge circle in the air around me. it felt cool :D

  • yeah only about 8,000 died (7,547 if im right) still alot

  • 63.000 died. Look it up on wikipedia or at the official historic site with the death count, you can even count the names of the people that died there.More than 63.000,trust me

  • Agreed, it's still a HUGE number. Listen, if that place isn't haunted NO PLACE is.

  • Noting but haunted blood stained shadows of spirits seeking breathing, living, flesh and blood souls.......

  • Anybody ever tried to spend a night in there?

  • my cousion did

  • hey all i'm new on here. i was wondering if someone could help me. i went to waverly on the holloween tour and i'm going back to do the all night tour in march( first time) what floor or room is good to go in besides room 502?

  • american haunted sites are boring look at the big asylums in england and ireland a whole lot creepier than this. when the places were being built in the uk and ireland america was still indian country

  • who takes a nap in a morgue besides a dirt nap :|

  • only 8,00 died not 60,000.

i went on the tour and asked:) They laughed when i said 60,00. udely, condesending asses.

  • lol

  • I was there in nov and I did the walk down the hall, deep deep deep stuff. I felt totally surrounded and I didn't know what the hell was going on but people started freaking out because there were people behind me.

I live in louisville and I been in there a couple of times, sneaking about but never got to intimately know it as I did that night. I can't wait for our next trip, going in for an all nighter.

  • Hey guys..

    there's a concept called windscreens...

    you put them on microphones...

    then presto... no wind

  • amazing how a 'ghost' can turn a non-existing light on, and there is NEVER any concrete evidence of this.

  • that woman might just be the bravest person ever. shees got balls man

  • ATTENTION EVERYBODY! SPREAD THE WORD! WAVERLY HILLS IS GOING TO BE REMODELED INTO A FANCY~SHMANCY HOTEL x-( THAT'S A HORRIBLE WASTE OF HISTORY AND PARANORMAL ACTIVITY.

SIGN THE ONLINE PETITION THAT IS AGAINST THE REMODELING AT THE FOLLOWING LINK (NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED):

    petitionspot. com/savewaverlyhills

**If you copy and past the link, it won't work. You must type it in the website address bar. Send the petition around to your friends, too.

  • the remodeling will draw the ghosts out A LOT more so i think its a great thing stay the night and enjoy seeing ghosts.

  • where is "haunted" 's other series or videos

the best ghost shit Ive ever seen

  • Smoking 3 packs a day on half a lung... Now that's hardcore. You gotta respect that.

  • would have been great if it was like it used to be before where the previous owner didn't care and it was free admission. But then again there where vandalists, homeless people , and fag satanists which is scary which is where those negetive spirits probably came from. They want money for everything now. they should buy it make people pay while they get enough money then get free admission. But a hotel Come on who would spend a night where people lay dying? no one would its also disrespectful
