  • Does this work with the new mortal kombat?

  • I want one of those

  • what kind of cherry switches it uses ? is it blue, black,.... Extra ?

  • im glad im not the only one that heard the differences in the sound in MK 1 and 2

  • how did you get an arcade machine like that? ca you run other MKs on it?

  • @LtDanw craigslist! yeah I can pop MK2 in there if I wish, For MK3,or mk4 I would have to drill a whole for the run button. I have another machine that has all the MK games in it though using the real hardware. You can see it in my Jamma 6 in 1 video

  • @RetrowareTV you have to arcade machines at home? crazy! where do you put them? or, why?

  • i bought this 2 days ago and it dosent work now. whenever i try to connect it to my 360 the rings on my controller just flash and it does not connect to the console, can i sync this thing? can you give me some advice on how to fix this?

  • i bought this stick and it worked for 2 days but then after that it does not want to connect to my 360, whenever i plug it in the rings on my controller just flash and dont want to connect to the console. can i sync this thing? how do i get this to work?

  • To the actual arcade games.

  • Will you review MKAK? And compare them to their

  • will it work for ultimate marvel vs capcom?

  • @TheCommonNguyen yes but haven't used it with it, not sure if button config is ideal.

  • @TheCommonNguyen yes i've used it. It's not too bad for it.

  • Nice review! Just ordered one of these [360] and I really look forward to try it out!

  • ok which one should i get classic or tournament edition?

  • @naruto181800 tournament edition has more bells and whistles but its all preference really.

  • for someone who wants to play games like nba 2k12 and nba jam with this controller, is the joystick mapped as the analog stick or the d pad

  • @jayswillsoar dpad

  • ooooooooooohhh myyyyyy i need me one of these

  • is the tournament edition bigger than the klassic

  • can you do xray moves with this controller

  • @MrZinkle yeah with a combination of buttons or with the R buttons

  • Just like the MK9 TE it's OK for MK9 but awkward for any other Fighting game.

  • Dude, I really, REALLY like the look of that Klassic Fight Stick, more than the Arcade Stick. I love nostalgia. Now I want a fightstick for MK 9, so if you had to choose between the Klassic Stick and the MK Arcade Stick, which do you prefer, in terms of comfort and ability to perform moves, etc?

  • @CactusFlagg You mean the tournament edition stick that comes with MK9 TE vs the Klassic Arcade Stick or vs the actual arcade machine. The TE and the Klassic Stick are exactly the same IMO. The Actual arcade stick control (at least mine) seems to be a bit smoother and less clicky/mechanical thank both of the console sticks.

  • Buttons are way too far spaced apart from the joystick. How does the stick feel when you play?

  • @Samuelio Well thats the way the original arcade game was as for spacing. Stick feels fine when playing the classic MK games as well as the new MK game. But yeah the setup is definitely a more U.S. type of stick, Japanese ones tend to me smaller and less spaced out.

  • can this be use wireless

  • @bigfresh2001 not that I am aware of.

  • i think the block and run should be switched i dun know yyy

  • does this work for mortal kombat 9

  • @kwldude25 Of course!

  • @kwldude25 yes.

  • the gamestop i go to seriously had like 10 haha i'm not going to get it though

  • I guess the moral of the story is ....... IF you want to play a arcade perfect version of mortal kombat AND you want a fight stick that has the movement and feel of the original arcade stick and that it must truly replicates the design and layout of the original arcade machine then there is only one thing to do.......

BUY A REAL MORTAL KOMBAT ARCADE MACHINE :-)

  • i just got this today for my BDAY and its awesome, even though i still want the tournament stick, but no gamestop has it

  • @WinterWolf94 Yeah I do see some peeps selling theirs on craigslist a lot.

  • I got this and it is so cool

  • Are you using a mame Rom for your MK? If not how much was that cab?

  • @TheBigb1973 nope its running off the original arcade board. Paid about $450 a few years back for it locally.

  • My son bought me this Klassic Fight Stick yesterday as an early B-Day present. I'm Super STOKED!!! I just need to download the games. Good review though. My son has the tournament edition stick and I do like the fact that it opens up to store games and to repair any broken components if necessary, but that doesn't bother me too much. Thanks for this vid, very informative.

  • Who cares what the box looks like

  • @BrazilianRonaldo9 people who display boxes in their collections, thats who. Not everyones bag though.

  • @RetrowareTV or rather "not everyones box" (see what I did there)

  • Wait, you got the MK Arcade Kollection for free just by buying this Arcade Stick?

I paid $9.99 for mine on the PSN. Oh well, no big deal.

With the $50 PSN Card I bought at Game Stop, I was able to download this & also download the 4 DLC Fighters in MK8/MK9/MK (2011) as well as the 1st wave of Klassic costumes.

Just out of curiosity, (if you have them) what do you think of the DLC fighters in the new MK?

If you're on PSN, we should definitely play each other in the MK AK or MK8 sometime.

  • @Nicksolo85 Really late response but I actually don't have the DLC characters, been meaning to buy them but haven't got a chance. Do like the DLC characters though but a bit pricey, then again they do have full fledged endings. Yeah hit me up on PSN some time screen name is itobandito

  • @RetrowareTV Cool, thanks. Mine's BigNick62385 (same user name as Twitter).

I actually bought a $50 PSN card. The DLC fighter bundle was $14.99 & the 1st wave of DLC classic costumes & Fatalities was I think $4.99.

Would've used some of that card to buy TMNT: Turtles in Time Re-Shelled but it was already gone by the time I got (& registered) the card.

I did get Super SF II instead.

  • Is there a way to open the stick up to customize it? Please someone let me know!!

  • @lakers24kobecolts18 I've been trying to figure that out too because I just know that sooner or later your gonna have to fix something and that will be a sad day for me lol I just don't understand why this couldn't have the damn flip top like the other one repairs happen. the little paper insert acts like they'll give you a whippin' if you open it somehow it says somethin like it could void your authority to "USE" the product lol not the warranty but the use lol but if it needs fixed WTH right?

  • @lakers24kobecolts18 Yes you can, not as easy as the tourney version though, there are those plastic caps with screws under them that I pointed out so you can open it that way. Sorry for the late response.

  • i want one so bad ive watched this video like 3 times

  • It's a darned shame that they removed what was my favorite feature of the tournament edition: the hinge and the latch. This thing looks like it would be a lot tougher to customize, so it's clearly an item intended for collectors moreso than modders. I did a VERY extensive modding of my PDP TE stick which you can see on my channel. It looks like a great collector's item, but modding a TE stick would be a heck of a lot easier.

  • I can really dig that review. I'm a huge Mortal Kombat fan. I actually saw the Klassic Arcade Stick at GameStop. Something told me to hold back. I already have the Tournament Edition Mortal Kombat Arcade Stick. That alone is very awesome that you can store your game, cable, etc... Although I like that throwback style arcade stick. I'm very content with the Tournament Edition arcade stick. I've already purchased Mortal Kombat Klassic Arcade. Yes it brings me memories!!

  • i have to say i was damn surprised at how good this thing works its amazing the only issue i could find was that you cant really use it in other games because unless you memorize what each one is on a controller then youre on your own

  • Works for me..

  • Bought mine recently, and I love it! Despite some small flaws that were pointed out in the video, I'm very satisfied with my purchase. I bought it mainly for the nostalgia. Mind you, I never bought the TE fight stick...though I do plan to buy that one in the near future, for the sake of having my friends play MK with me in that fashion.

    Otherwise, great review! =)

  • @DancingOtaku Yeah this stick is definitely for the collectors and those looking for a nostalgic piece as well.

  • @DancingOtaku Yeah this stick is definitely for the collectors and those looking for a nostalgic piece as well.

  • good review the arcade stick you are holding looks nice and neat

  • Great review. I like both versions of Mortal Kombat's fight stick. Really excellent build. Thanks for the video!

  • Thanks again for another MK review!

  • Fight stick I meant

  • So you can buy just the tournament edition fight 4 130.000

  • i think they forgot what there own arcade cabinets looked like?

  • @KEWLPIXELGAMERZ They were going for a similar design, not a full one I'm sure.

  • cool

  • Looks awesome! Too expensive though. Plus i just bought the mk kollection yesterday and it bugs me that that comes with it. I guess could give someone the code if i was willing to shell out all that cash.

  • hey bro you been working out?

  • @aimisnotthedevil haha, a little

  • Very cool, would be great if you could give us some info about the game too. Is the games accurate to arcade? Only sounds different? How are the HD graphics? Worth it? Any bugs? Loading times? :D

  • @ViceCommando Yeah the reason I haven't done it is because I would have to record the video in SD as I currently don't have an HD capturing setup for games, can only film and edit in HD currently. Yeah the emulation is decent, not perfect.,Audio is REALLY throwing me off its pretty inaccurate especially for MK1,the HD graphics aren't as clean as would like them but considering (mk1) the original motion capture was not done in HQ its understandable why it would be hard to fix Loads quick

  • No "k" in arcade. Im dissapoint.

  • @geno344 Yeah for search purposes I left it out haha.

  • @RetrowareTV Wait a Minute! Who's your favorite character in the Mortal Kombat series?

  • @Ninten70 Johnny Cage!

  • @Ninten70 Yeah PDP sells the xbox 360 version in its site.

  • awesome review. i might invest in buying that

  • hooray two retrowaretv videos so happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
