I'm not French nor American, but I know both types: French doing English accent and Americans doing the French one. So far I can't decide which of them looks more stupid.
-The accent some have trying to sound English. This one is the funniest !
-The quite globish accents made from a mix of English and American accent, not sounding like a French accent anymore, but with still some little things like the poor "h" that will never be pronounced. Very rare.

I'm sorry but no non-native English/French speaker can imitate the other nationality's accent perfectly. The languages are just too different.
I've lived in France, and never once heard someone speak English without sounding extremely French. Likewise, back in England, every student who spoke French in the classroom, their English accents stood out a mile

It's very interesting to see how english people see us. That's very funny, but full of stereotypes. Well, I don't deny that french use to say "heu" very very much. But french people who make an effort to learn and speak english properly try at least not to say stuff like french words with an english accent.
One more thing : lot of english are wrong about the pronounciation of the "r". It's not really a strum, it's a delicate rolling at the back of the throat. I admit it's difficult ;)
I just would like say to you that is absolutely true the stuff with the "euhhhh..." and a french word. I'm always doing it when I'm speaking an other language. I think I needed one month in an english country (actually it was Alberta, Canada) to say 'hello' instead of 'bonjour' or 'salut'. I think it's because we don't like our accent and are shameful to speak in an other language with that accent. It's really interesting to see how you see the french speaking english !!

I am French and I just want to tell you that your accent is not so bad because I was able to understand you, however, when a French says "Euhhhh", he is just trying to find english words and For a French is not so difficult to learn to speak english because the english grammar and verbs are easier to learn than in French but the only thing which is hard is the accent because French people do not have an accent.

I have to approve those who didn't hear a genuine french accent here. But still, I have to ask you : where did you learn how to speak french ? Don't take it as an offense, I'm actually pretty curious, because even if WE can hear your american accent while speaking french (meanwhile this is not very romantic), II thought your sentence was quite clear (though you talked nonsense :P).

It'sall behind the lips. like spitting the words out. Once you get that you will have done the hardest part.
