  • Vortex was awesome, how could you not like him?

  • 11 people miss the target...but not me

  • I just finally decided that I can't choose one favorite black metal band. so, I am going to like Dimmu borgir and Cradle Of Filth in my number zero enjoyment of all my time.

  • yeah, my favorite part too. iv never liked vortex, but this song i can tolerate him

  • 4:17 my favorit part

  • DIMMU BORGIR IN <3

  • Simen hangja kib..jó, futkoz a hátamon a hideg tőle!!

  • love this song......

  • REPTILE WINS !!! FATALITYYYYYYY!!!!!

  • @samuraiwarrior1988 HAHAHA! Awesome

  • ICX Vortex is great but i still prefer enthroned triumphant better.

  • Am I the only one who heard this songs title and thought of Mortal Kombat?

Anyone know or have a theory to what it (both title and the lyrics) talk about? Would be interesting to know

  • This picture actually suits the song

  • i always wonder how wwII would have ended if the axis woulda played songs like this to motivate the stormtroopers instead of those lame military marches. coz zissis pure hatred, destilled an served something between blood-warm and ice-cold. JUST prefect!¹11

  • ''Bastards in the shape of angels holding my hands!!!''

  • what a great song man!

  • i always love the fuckin voice of ics vortex-sama.. he is so fuckin great,....

  • vortex is overrated, he didn't make the band at all.

  • @KnifeofRoamance

    Gtfo.

  • Love that photo. wish it would have changed once and a while though.

  • I love this song!!

  • GRAAAAN CANCION

  • пародия на a-ha move

  • Picture goes great with the song

  • miss vortex so much in dimmu borgir...

  • Cool. More atonal noise from tone deaf guys who refuse to let go of their dreams of a successful music career. Sounds like the bastard child of Being For The Benefit of Mr Kite (of course, it lacks all the melodic structure and whimsical word play found in the original)

  • @ritter89 Bitch.

  • @ritter89 you're kind of a jerk.

  • @ritter89 then explain how one of there music videos has 8,337,927 views fuckhead, o and i would love to see you create some talent that is even near as good as dimmu borgir you troll faggot

  • @ritter89 BACK TO THE CAVE YOU BELONG IN, TROLL! BACK I SAID!

  • 7 insects dislike this video

  • dimmu forever!!!!

  • Easily one of their most atmospheric masterpieces

  • @Xcorpheleus

your english fails almost as much as the meaning of your comment

  • @80smetalchild why do you have to be such a grammar nazi

  • @Xcorpheleus

You are confusing gay with melodic. Seems like both things exceed your span of comprehension.

  • i really love the "older" dimmu borgir, especially this album because its kind of epic^^ (and the album cover kicks ass :D) I listened to the new album but it didn´t really convince me..... :-/

  • Spiritual Black Dimensions is one of the darkest, creepiest, albums ever.

That's what's so epic about it.

  • Dimmu = Cradle of Filth imo

  • @UKE321 comparing bands is the gayest fucking thing in the world imo

  • a hammer a little bit of dimmu borgir and weed and there comes the murder....xixixi

  • Vortex voice always reminds me of Jon Anderson of Yes. Anyone else get where im coming from on this?

  • Mustis would show up with no Keyboard to shows and Vortex had NO part being in that band. He just wanted to be a rockstar. He even says that in one interview.

  • @8thgradecuadorian, i thought thats why they have roadies and tour managers, so they dont need to worry about all that stuff! as for vortex....bass is the least important instrument in metal, it just thickens the guitar sound, songs are written and then the bass player is shown his parts to learn. apart from the melodic vocal parts, vortex played no part in the song writing!

  • This is intense, melodic, terrifying all at once.

  • @freakmetelsabbath nope ur wrong

  • I bought Spiritual Black Dimensions and I have to say its the least favourite album for me in Dimmu Borgir - though this song and Insight and the Catharsis are exceptions and fantastic songs the rest was mediocre did'nt give me the chills like all their newer and earlier albums did

  • @doommetaldoom ??????? this is my FAVORITE album from them, seccond being Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia, btw this album is BRILLIANT

  • @Blakep666 dont get me wrong I know this album is brilliant in composition and so on, it just didnt fill in for me, the reason I loved Reptile and Insight is because the melodies and progressions mixed with a dash of mystical keyboard played so damn well. The others just didnt stand out and give me that sense of "Corr!"then those songs did. All of their albums have the odd ones out but for em this album had the most.

  • THIS IS TOO MUCH.....MELODIC METAL MAKES ME SLEEPY...BORING....

I'M GONNA GO LISTEN TO MOZART INSTEAD......

ABBATH, THE KING OF THE NORTH...

  • @RoCkEr882009 yes immortal is amazing but i thougt at the heart of winter was especially melodic

  • 5 drunk dudes watched this

  • 5 people miss the target.

  • @tommasko 5 people head banged so hard they missed the like button and passed out then was rushed to the hospital due to possession of the song.

  • 5 people are getting dragged to hell tonight to be tormented for their blasphemy

  • seriously, do you people just type in music u hate so u can express why? just shut the fuck up and go listen to your music

  • The synth is so evil in this one!

  • one of their best and most emotional songs. its a shame they dont play music this sorrowful anymore, not to say their new music is bad, just lacking.

  • @loganatorious no, their new music is bad. Dimmu is dead.

  • @kNAZGL none of thier music is bad dude, you just have to keep an open mind

  • dudee

    fucking awesomee xD`

  • whoever doesnt like this can go fuck themselves and their gay mamas

  • This song is the fucking definition of epic. Vortex's vocals...holy shit...give me chills!

  • I agree with RxMinus, vortex was the greatest melodic singers of all time. :D

  • One of 5 best Dimmu songs ever

  • @rediscoverySX every song the make is "the best"

  • I like turtles.

  • great song, great album. i agree the new shit is exactly that, SHIT!!! burn all copies of In Sorte Diaboli

  • With all respect, but IMO Dimmu Borgir's shit period started with this album...only a couple of tracks are good. But hey, that's my opinion :P

  • @SlimJimVG yeah i got to agree with you, i wasn't really impressed with this one. i hope their newest one make up for the lose of mustis and vortex though.

  • @gofuckurselification, well i rather like In Sorte Diaboli, that album is what got me into listening Dimmu

  • Yes.

  • I stopped bein a dimmu fan before even High School, theyre talented & it isn't about being "troo" n' "kvlt", they just aren't BM regardless..they lack the spirit of it, its just a bunch of rich dudes playin' metal

That aside, Puritanical's easily the best album..Enthrone's okaay, but I agree about Spiritual, I'd put it 2nd right behind Puritanical..

Purit.'s just a perfect blend= bombardment by the battery, grinding axes and astral keyboards, without being all poppy and jolly like the new shit

  • Ha, they aren't rich dude, they work part time job when they aren't on tour.

  • Dimmu Borgir has sold a million albums. I don't think they need those part time jobs.

  • @Sronpop man that must suck, selling all these cds and still having to work a part time job... they'll be famous one day.

  • @crimsontowers

Musicians aren't rich, one reason Vortex was kicked out was for selling a new album before it was released because he needed cash.

  • This may sound like blasphemy to most Dimmu-fans, who consider "Enthrone Darkness Triumphant" the best album, but I like "Spiritual Black Dimensions" most - "Reptile" represents this album quite well; all this bombast is truly impressive!

  • @wurstgitarre I agree, although to me, Enthrone Darkness Triumphant is a damn close second. You can't beat Reptile!

  • @wurstgitarre Agreed 100%!

  • @wurstgitarre And I'd say more... I won't exaggerate to the point of considering ICS Vortex the very soul of Dimmu Borgir, but I've said it once and I'll say it again: Besides being a good bassist (not as good as Nagash IMO), he was a great addition to Dimmu when Spiritual Black Dimensions was released. It may have been a shock for many conservative fans out there, because of his impartial and impacting clean vocals, but he was def. one of the few perfect additions to the band in many years.

  • LesnarNextBigThingF5, get your facts strait! Mustis was kicked because they didn't want to give Mustis his due credit for the songs he helped to make perfect. Mustis and Vortex put the symph in Dimmu! Idiot!

  • true its not going to be the same with out vortex well dimmu borgir is awsome!! i cant wait intell they move on well im going to miss the clean vocals :/

  • Awesome song,it even has a real message I think. Somebody else thinks like me ?

  • Vortex the soul of DB? Right... I don't mind it that much now, but I used to like everything about DB except for the clean vocals so that says it all. Anyway, gone are the days when DB was an original great band. Still not bad, but not the same...

  • dimmu borgir 4 life

  • enthrone darkness triumphant or puritanical euphoric misanthropia

  • Spiritual Black Dimensions

  • Vortex and Mustis were indeed and surely the soul of Dimmu Borgir. I'd like to see both in a new project! Looking forward to this \m/

  • vortex is goin back with arcturus

  • Without Vortex i can't imagine the band anymore :'(

  • It's sad to not see Vortex and Mustis with Dimmu Borgir anymore. At least for now, I hope. Needless to say, Vortex has really inspired me to take up clean singing, so much so that I decided to join my school choir! The only bad thing about that is dealing with the arrogant pricks that make up the rest of the bass section (where I am) and the prissy little bitches of the alto section.

  • vortex was goofing off at practice and mustis never showed up so what does that tell you

  • ICS vortex rules!!!!!!!!!

  • Spiritual Black Dimensions has to be my favorite, or at least in the top 2 of my favorite, Dimmu Borgir albums. I love this song \m/.

  • Excellent opener in a breathtaking album.

  • I bought a Spiritual Black Dimensions t-shirt today. It's really cool, it has the album artwork in the front and a picture of the Death Cult Armageddon line-up in the back, together with the band logo.

    I just love this stuff.

  • I'm very happy for everyone comment on this video and i would love to let you all finish but Vortex was one of the best melodic singers of all time!!

  • how they can play now these songs where vortex sings? vortex rocks!

  • dont worry they will find someone better!

  • lmfaooo

  • "was" ????????????????????

  • @RxMinus was? he's out of dimmu?!!! =O

  • @Brzrkr667 You mean you didn't know?

  • @janusbondi no...=O can't be! fucking hell! i'm gonna research why he left, this is blasphemy!!!

  • @Brzrkr667 Vortex and Mustis got kicked out of the band.

  • @RxMinus Of ALL TIME.

  • @RxMinus

    of all time.

    ALL.TIME.

  • @RxMinus

Yo ima let you finish but Ronni James Dio was one of the best melodic singers of all time. ALL. TIME.

  • @8thgradecuadorian You feeling the need to spam your opinion out loud gives the word "pathetic" a new low.

  • @RxMinus lol wut?

  • @RxMinus and is :)

  • thats the spirit ^^

  • thank you

  • Hell yeah man. While I'm not part of any real religion, I consider myself a theist and a follower of God. I don't believe he hides the truth from me. What I do believe is that Dimmu Borgir are a fucking awesome band, always have been and, despite what some say, always will be. They can believe and preach what they want about religion, provided they keep doing it using riffs this awesome :D

  • if you dont mind looking up Mithraism on wikipedia and reading about it, you'll find that christianity is the exact same thing. the only difference is that Mithraism was invented thousands of years before. but yeah Dimmu fucking Rules!

  • Hahaha dude ur such a bitch. This is why i hate people like you. I have an opinion and you talk shit to me for that. I could care less what Dimmu Borgir thinks about god. I just like their music. And Im pretty sure they dont hate me if I am a fan of them and I buy a CD. You just have ur dads fat cock up your ass so you go on youtube and try to start shit with people over something stupid like their religious beliefs. Grow up man

  • Nah!

  • Hey man. I believe in god and I pray every night, im not afraid to admit it. I also love Dimmu Borgir. Im not here to say atheism is stupid or anything because it upsets me when people say that my religion is stupid. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Just sit back and enjoy the music. Dont fight about religion..but if someone says hey Dimmu Borgir sucks...WRIP THEIR FUCKING HEAD OFF!!!!

  • what a cunt

  • i dont wanna talk about this stuff anymore thoug because as it is, noone here will be open minded enough to even give it a chance, or at least think about it. so im not gonna even mess with it anymore(which i never did in the first place but you people assumed i was doing)

  • judaism was invented 400-300 BC. Ahura mazda a half a millennia before that. Go back another half a millennia and you have the first inclings of the greek and phoenician gods. Now tell me, what religion is it you follow?

Perhaps one of those Babylonian citygods like Marduk?

  • LOL i never said i was any religion. i certainly never said judaism. i follow the one true god who has never been shown to make a false prophecy and who is so blatantly obvious to me through things i have seen that it would be foolish of me not to believe in him. i never said i was religious. they are different things. greek and phoenician? even though greece wasnt even a bi-product of a thought yet? ok

  • You're such a twat.

  • i dont normally do this but i was listenin to it and decided to, i was bored lmaooo, but ure infact the twat.

  • Dimmu will be on my playlist until i die.

    And also in my funeral.

  • the lyrics in "Spiritual..." are equal to poetry...

  • fuck yeah! I love this song and band! fuck black metal elitists and encyclopedia metallum!

  • YO FO666 you cant spell worth a shit lmao thanks for posting dude.

  • I am a spiritualist i believe in god but i dont believe in religion.I dont even believe in satan.Every person has the potential to do good or evil things it is merely a choice that each person makes.

  • Shagrath is talented.

  • hail satan? how about hail NOBODY, theres no need to believe in fairy tails

  • fucken eh dude!!

  • I am an Atheist, but it doesn't mean i can't enjoy this music.
