They have both got on such a level when it's impossible to compare. They have already built up their very own styles, which are both great, and you cannot say which one is better. Also they complete each other very much. I wouldn't waste my time comparing them... I find it totally pointless... I'd rather enjoy listening to the two! And they're in the same band, so they have many things in common.

Matt is better finally, his tone is better, warmer and he has more feelings too. Corey is techniquly better but there is less personnality in his licks and he sounds cold compared to Matt, but Corey still a very good player that's evident!

Corey is both a better lead / rhythm guitarist in my opinion. But both Corey and Matt are two really good guitar players and who's best is probably more a matter of taste. But for me it's an easy choice, Corey's guitar playing impresses me more than Matt's.

@TentativeandIntrepid its a gibson les paul custom its expensive as hell but you can get stuff that looks and plays almost the exact same from brands like (esp,prs,or schector) and they would only cost ya say 1000-3000 with pickups thats still not easy money for most guitarists pockets but much less than the 5000-6000 for the les paul custom

Corey, as far as skill and guitar knowledge, wins by a long shot. However, Matt has more of a taste for playing what people like. So it really all depends on how you want to judge.
