Until the PvEers ruin the PvP aspect. When the first nerf bat swings there will be fewer and fewer choices of MMORPGs to play. At least we know SWG has been through its worste and learned their lesson.

i love swg but pre cu were the best days, i wish they would re make it again so people would come back and there wouldnt be more jedi then stormtroopers lol

Jedi is a starter profession...but with the new system combat level 90 means nothing. There are so many new ways to build up your character that any noob just cant log in and do. It takes REAL work, interaction, and cool content to get there. A fully built Jedi... completing all Jedi content, developing his skill mods suit (now content), and achieving items and abilities through quests, collections, and pvp....could kill 4 or 5 Jedi that were just cl 90 with basic gear.

SWG is defiitely entering into a sort of Renaissance. WoW is losing its appeal to a lot of ppl who want a deeper MMO and MMO world experience, and AoC is losing people everyday.

With free expansions every 2 months in SWG, and things liek the new trading card game, high end instances, Hoth, etc. a lot of people are back..especially from the Pre CU era.

WoW sucks. Its a big grind, no RP in the MMO, and its another cartoony fantasy game.

SW:G is back in a big way, with constant expanions, awesome PvP, new ways to build your character into new templates.

Jedi has new content that makes being a REAL Jedi content and not just a grind. Things like PvE duels against Ancient Masters, new robes, new meditation stances, and new generation sabers...all linked to differen methods of gameplay that only about 10% of Jedi will ever access.

So what is the combat like now? How different is it from when the NGE first hit? I tolerated the CU, but the NGE was just too much.

Combat is CU sped up to be more action oriented.

Duels do not determine how good you are in pvp lile precu and cu, as professions and templates have roles they are built to play. Where one role is strong, it also has a weakness another profession can capitalize on.

Auto aim and Auto attack is back..so imagine the CU with more action and PvP where what you decided to build your character template to determines how you experience PvP.

As far as PvE combat. The "iconic professions" are really just expertise skill sets to build what you want.

So if you take a smuggler, use a certain template, and then work outside the character for items, buffs, skills, attachements, pups, you could have a deadly pikeman.

The 9 profession expertises make for better control of PvP balance and more well engineered PvE like the new Heroic instances

I am a day 1 vet. Mastered BH before vehicles. Having more fun in pvp and content now then I did wearing the same composite armor as everyone else group poking a lair.
