  • omg, sick music..I found this searching for similar bands to Sonata Arctica,, and Im glad I did it

  • Some words are wrong.. check them out ;)

  • Jani and Mikko unite yet again! Thank you metal gods.. \m/ ^o^ \m/ !!!

  • at 5:00 doesn't it sound like the music from the x-men cartoon

  • this song brings up my rapeside

  • Exelent song...and think that just started as a band!

  • FUCKING GREAT BAND

  • i love it song awesome

  • this song somehow always fits me..

  • holy shit this band is good :O

  • this band should focus more on marketing im a huge jani fan and this shit rules.

  • This """band""" is deader than shit :)

  • what the fuck are u talking about Finland?

i'd love to go there someday

i live in Brazil, and i hate this shit

  • @rodrigogier wtf. brazil is probably the most ecologically diverse place on the planet. how could you hate it? unless the chinese have raped it to shreds by now, in which case blame the nwo. finland is pretty dark and shitty most of the time.

  • @gtarbmx u know

brazlian government sucks, and i hate that freaking hellish summers

    i love cold^^

  • @rodrigogier u guys don't really have a government anymore it's been replaced by globalist whores as in every other country in south america. but cold weather isn't all that great unless you live in the mountains and enjoy the snow.

  • 5:41 got fucking chills here!

  • Seems like Timo broke up with his girlfriend... listen to the other songs

  • @JimmyJummo In his solo album Colness sings more about that past situation.

  • my favorite guitarist and my favorite vocalist... why did I just found this out today? 0.o

  • @EXTRAnIme better than never.. ;)

  • @EXTRAnIme ZP Thear and Herman Li

  • @ZakTheFallenAngel How dare you bring up Dragonforce or its affiliates... they are a disgrace to power metal.

  • Timo hasnt left stratovarius has he? :S

  • @ixJake No, he's just working with Jani in his super band, you could say. Same with Timo Tolkki, the former Stratovarius guitarist, he's in Symfonia now. But even though Symfonia has an even better line up, they have nothing on Cain's Offering. Cain's Offering is better than any super band out there.

  • @FrostArchlord Eh?

    Kotipelto>Matos

Liimatainen>Tolkki. Cain's Offering has a better lineup, and In Paradisum is a mediocre debut, very very generic.

  • @LightYagamiTheNewGod

That's what we think, but if you read the reviews a lot of guys don't like Cain's Offering because it's not 'Metal' enough for them. I do agree that In Paradisum is mediocre, I was expecting more.

  • Jani |m|,

  • Kotipelto ja Jani ovat yksinkertaisesti mahtava :D

  • jani just has the best rythm riffs ever

  • A band with my favorite singer and my favorite guitarist from my fav bands came together to bring thee ultimate Cains Offering EPIC!

  • sick song

  • Jani has a TOO DAMN BIG ego. Elias is better

  • @konijnensmaak

    um.......no.

  • @konijnensmaak Elias is a mediocre.

  • THERE ARE SEVERAL ERRORS ON THE LYRICS WRITTEN HERE.....

  • This song is goddamn perfect!

  • Mä olen nii odottanu janin soittoa parempaa kitaristiä saa hakea. Sonatan taso laski heti ku jani potkittiin pois...

  • if here there was tony kakko would be a little bit better!!!!!

  • Oh my god this is like the good old sonata arctica all over again, but more. Its good hear this sound again.

  • Guys, Sonata had to do what they had to do Jani had to go take care of other things and they are a band they have a label they must go on. Yes they messed up Jani is an amazing gutairst. This band is awesome as well. Finnish metal pwns

  • the fuck does hockey have to do with anything...

  • Comment removed

  • @XxazidxX Everything. And a bit more.

  • @symphony929 ...booooooo

  • I think Mikko's solo shook the very foundations of Asgard.

  • @metal9lover9maniac

I'm also a Dragonforce fan, and I didn't click dislike. What's so wrong about liking DF anyway? Being their fan doesn't mean you dislike every other metal band. -.-

  • @SurvivorsOfTitanic I didn't intend any serious insult. I was only halfway joking.

  • @metal9lover9maniac

Well, I suggest you to stop such jokes unless you're looking for a fight. You might just as well say that people who dislike, say, Sonata Arctica, are automatically Justin Bieber fans, which makes absolutely no sense, and can anger people at best.

Furthermore, returning to your 'joke', Dragonforce and Cain's Offering are both power metal bands, so I'm pretty sure that the fans of the genre would pretty much like the music of both bands.

  • @SurvivorsOfTitanic Way to escalate your anger after realizing it was a joke. Nice.

  • @metal9lover9maniac

What makes you think I'm angry? I was just giving you a friendly tip for future reference, so you wouldn't have to wonder why people get mad at you if you make jokes like that. I personally don't get easily angered at all, but from experience can tell that there are a lot of short tempered people in youtube and internet in general. Thus it would be wise to express your opinion without drawing in and insulting other things you don't like, but which have a fanbase as well.

  • @SurvivorsOfTitanic I was obviously just joking, I mean comments like that aren't to be taken seriously, because if they were meant to be serious, then it would be pretty stupid to say that. There are things people say on this site that really are offensive, not just some joke about a band, but whatever. I deleted the comment so people won't get "offended" on the internet.

  • 3:40 Jani comes to life !! :) !!!!!!!

  • Jani - nothing on earth comes close !!!!!. :)

  • hail Jani :D To the best guitarist to ever grace this earth . Jani - Nothing else comes close :)

  • @nalkainen To the Godking skills of His Majesty, Lord Jani, I say, HAIL!!!! Hell, I leveled up just listening to Jani play!!!!!!!!!

  • attack--- the best band heavy power metal ._.tolkki matos mercenarios

  • What's with the looping Ken Burns effect on the album art? It's making me sick to my stomach.

  • @KyoshiYug Well....with all the bands ive heard coming from there in Finland i can say that fact is VERY well founded!

  • Dammit people... I NEED TABS TO THIS.. but there are none online.. fml. This song is freakin amazing.

  • Just discovered this band 5 min. ago and its FRIKIN AWESOME! O.O

  • Woahhooo, This song has some killer melodies, starts out like Trance, and just damn.. pritty hard to describe with words alone, Sick ass band tho

  • Jani Liimatainen give another power for all the bands he plays. He is just awesome!I miss him in Sonata Arctica!

  • @KyoshiYug serious? I was in Finland in 2005 and I saw a hokeygame. You Finnish people are really good in hokey :D

    Great country with great people.

    greets from the Netherlands.

  • @KyoshiYug hahaha! i live in canada and its the oposite:we are the best country in hockey but we SUCK in music XD

  • True awsome power metal \m/

  • football sucks anyway.. :)

  • WELL WHAT I CAN SAY, JUST THE BEST BAND IN THE WORLD, THANKS TO SONATA ARCTICA THAT THEY KICK OUT FROM THE BAND =D

  • GOOD FUCKING GAME. THis is Jani's revenge for getting kicked out of a band he founded. So he picked up the singer from Strato the predecessor of Sonata Artica also the band that Sonata looks up to. LOL

  • @bilibalala he didnt got kicked, he left apparently about an issue of janii not doing his military service but he left in good terms

  • @KyoshiYug That's true.

  • I've got something important to say. It's not like I'm spamming some random shitty videos here, trust me. So, you guys know that back in 2009, Cain's Offering declared they'd be releasing a song titled "13th Disciple"?

Yeah, we all know that something like that was NOT on the album. The thing is; I'm sharing the original unreleased track. Go and see - if it's not there, mark this as spam. :)

(Joulukuusivaraskin on ilmeisesti powerin ystävä, eli tsekkaile ihmeessä ja tykkäile jos sytytti!)

  • @NotARegularGuy I will confirm that the video does exist :)

Though you could have just posted it as a video response...

  • @stiltonchees Totally forgot about that option, my bad! And well, guess I'm getting used to always do things the harder way. :)

  • @NotARegularGuy Well maybe comment was better, I'm just think how many times I have even checked video responses... I am thinking never.

  • officially, my favorite song ever.

  • dude you're good at everything! Finns = epic nation :)

  • @KyoshiYug And you guys also have huge ego's!

  • Hockey sucks anyway (Yes, coming from a Canadian.)

  • Este grupo de los 11 temas que tienen 8 me han gustado =D.

    Saludos desde CHILE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @KyoshiYug YOU HAVE THE BEST MUSIC IN THE WORLD !!!!! IT MAKES ME WISH IM FROM FINLAND :)))) Hyva Suomi , Hyva Metal :)))

  • I would like to be finnish :c

  • @DeathMelodicGirl I'm right there with ya

  • @DeathMelodicGirl Trust me, you don´t... It´s a pain

  • @kaylin1001 why? :o

  • @DeathMelodicGirl First of all, the weather is ass, and dont even get me started about the politics... The Finland has a good reputation, but once you actually LIVE here, you see a hell of a difference! :D

  • @kaylin1001 Don't you like living in Finland anyway? ;)

  • @HowlingToFullmoon Actually, I´d rather live in Laos or Tonga :PPP

  • @kaylin1001 Haha! as a tourist maybe? ;) Btw, have you watched Pasila? 'Cause I just thought of Pöysti xD

  • @KyoshiYug Vittu man, AT LEAST?!? You Finns are hell of players, and you write the best music in the world! Fuck the hockey XD! PERKELEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE XD

  • If my ears could have sex, it would be like this.

  • @Bl4ckRon1n cool !

  • Simplmente Genial

  • first song i hear from this great band=D it's good, each time I listen to it, it gets better

  • if Finland ever got destroyed, i would kill myself, their would be no more good music.

  • Love Finland metal

    great talent

and specially I love the Style and technique of Jani Liimatainen

    great music !

  • if i were that 1 idiot who disliked this fantastic work, i'd committed suicide...

  • Comment removed

  • I just love this music man!a I just can't stop listening to it! I love it!!!

  • One of my fav band!

  • 4:10 remembered me of some of eluveitie's songs

    lol

power metal song that reminds me of a folk metal song

  • @poged91 Yeah, you're right. Some of the guitar riffs in this song remind me of Eluveitie. They're both great bands.

  • This band rocks. Jani has the SONATA Sound!

  • Finland ftw T_T

  • this is fucking power metal!!!!

    the rebirth of power metal!!!

  • Holy shit this is awesome! Best power metal band I've heard in a LONG time. I guess it's no surprise, seeing as two ex-SA members are in it.... Sonata Arctica are my favourite band of all time.

  • timo kotipelto + jani liimatainen+ mikko harkin = brutal combo!!!

  • + orgasm :D \m/

  • @bibebibs Brutally quoting xD

  • @bibebibs jani alone = AMAZING

  • this band has to start coming out with more music or i will kill myself. this band is the creme de la creme.

oh my god. please cains offering, make more songs !!!!!!!!!!!. and play live. :D

  • @nalkainen

lets just hope they wont forget about this project easily x.x

  • indeed. surely they have enough proof that this project has worked and will work probably till the end of time. 22 thousand views beats the average sonata artica album song. and i dont want to kill myself lol. XD. :)

  • yea thats it boy! put some pressure to the band XD

  • @KyoshiYug we are good at playing hockey =)

  • @joulukuusivaras no we aren't :D

  • @joulukuusivaras

But our ladies got gold at the Olympic games >=)

    Great song BTW, Jukka forever!

  • @joulukuusivaras ...Just not at this year's Olympics :-P sorry. Just couldn't resist teasing. Seriously though, the best metal comes from Finland in my opinion. Pretty much all my top bands are Finnish. There's more of it, it's more supported, it's not stifled and relegated to the fringes like it is in the US.

  • @joulukuusivaras Many great hockey players come from finland but the metal scene is definately the best

  • @joulukuusivaras I know some Finns, they can't even skate. But the Finnish Ice-Hockey team are good at palying hockey. ;)

  • @joulukuusivaras

    We were... :S

  • @joulukuusivaras Are you Finns any good at playing hookey?

  • @joulukuusivaras Hail Jani Liimatainen, and hockey!!!!

  • @joulukuusivaras Perfect exemple for this is JAAKKO SUOMALAINEN :P He plays hockey and guitar!

  • Kick ass song!

  • Comment removed

  • the solo, although its not janis fastest, is defo one of my favs. stolen waters solo is very melodic and thats awsome too.

  • I dig the guitar tone in this song.

  • Incredible song.

  • incredible band, real singer. real guitarist , real keyboardist, real drummer, real bassist. can you imagine how huge this band will get?.

im gonna see them live as soon as they release dates. trully amazing line up and amazing music. it totaly nocks sa sideways . i trully cant wait to hear more. i hope they are making a new album now.

  • @nalkainen If it wasn't for SA you wouldn't have the guitarist or the keyboardist in this band. However, this music is miles away from what SA are bringing to the table these days.

SA is bringing music ten times more complex melodically and instrumentally. However, CO has that catchy power metal sound. I dig both bands... but I'll always love Kakko's music much more.

  • SA is not as complex as people think. Lyrically yes, musically - not so much. Its mostly just riffless chugging and lots of modulating these days. I can name a hundred bands more complex and sophisticated than Sonata Arctica.

Don't let that comment discredit them though. They're obvious world class musicians and Tony is a gifted songwriter still, but imo they are a shadow of what they were.

  • @Spyral01 I could care less how complex a song is, as long as I like it. A good band can make a simple song sound awesome, and no complexity can save a bad song.

I love SA, and Tony's lyrics are amazing. I like both their old and new songs. It's up to yourself if you like the change or not. But I'm happy they're not afraid to change their style when they feel like trying something new. Lots of bands get stuck in one style, even when they run out of inspiration for it, and that's sad.

  • @kiwiteepee

im a big SA fan, hate to say after reckoning night the band isnt as good as they were, they lack of "power" now , it used to be a really good band the new songs i dont really like em, anyway its my opinion, i love tony's voice thought but this band is better than the actual SA, not then the old SA i know its not much diference and a reason to call it new or old, but ecliptica to reckoning night is totally a diferent band for me, i really love their first 4 albums and covers

  • @tuturuturu1

Yea, the thing is, tony has stated that he really didn't want to put out power metal music. I mean, he's good at making it, sure... but he wasn't happy as a "power metal" band.

He desired to put out more 'avante garde' stuff. Which, as we can see, he has.

For him, it was like being unhappily married for convenience.... Sure, it got him famous... but he just wasn't happy with what he was putting out. And, he said he really started to tire of it around the time of ReckoningNight

  • thats what i mean, they are not power metal anymore and yet ppl still try to compare new SA work with power metal bands wich they shouldnt, SA is good yes, but u cant talk about it as power metal anymore, idk if u get my point, anyway sorry for my bad english im mexican o.o

  • wow. i tottally agree with these comments.

sonata artica is no longer power metal .

they were but are not any more. i dont know wha to call theyre music now. in my opinion i cannot stant sonata articas new music . ive given theyre songs a chance to grow on me but the fact of the matter is, you shouldnt have to keep playing a song to like it. u should like it straight away like i did with black sheep, silver tongue, dont say a word, lots more. this song oceans of regret was awsome straight away.

  • no they are not

  • Vittu tää o hyvä kappale. Koko levy on. Ostin silloinkun tää levy ilmesty, nii oon kuunnellu autossa ainahi +10 kertaa läpi. Ja ei tähän ikinä tunnu kyllästyvän.

  • this song is freaking awesome...how it is..jani is great, and i think timos voice is great...favorite song...

  • Ocean music!! Haha that's what my friend said when I was blasting this song on my phone at school, I love Cain's Offering! Mikko Harkin and Jani Liimatanien are the perfect keyboard/guitar match!!

  • haha, partly i agree but u cant ignore other combinations like Laiho-Warman or Tolkki-Johansson ;-)

  • Tolkki just makes things worse...

  • Lyrics are kind of ackward. "Tell me to take it like a man." and "Though now it hurts like hell" just make me lol everytime I listen to it. Music is good though.

  • I ignore most of the lyrics to the songs I listen to, as some of them just ... don't make any sense... or worse. I mostly listen to the music, and in this case, it's fantastic. Glad to see Jani still has it.

  • haha, yeah, i wish i could replace the lyrics and singer cause this has huge potential otherwise

  • it was a fuckin techno-intro :D:D

  • that intro is fucking good

  • agree awesome

  • can anyone recomend me some music please? thanks

  • like CO?

  • yeah, like just bands that are similar to them (except sonata arctica and hammerfall)

  • every power metal band ever

  • Stratovarius, Nightwish, Helloween, Rhapsody, Luca Turilli, Northern Kings, Epica, Kamelot

  • Actually, the best, most like CO, would be Kamelot, Rhapsody and Stratovarius. Helloween is more oldschool, Nightwish and Epica are more ''gothic'' orientated ^^ and I dunno Luca Turilli =)

  • Helloween, oldschool they may be, are fantastic. They are the progenitors of the power genre, and should not be ignored. Nightwish...has some good songs, but yeah, they're more for angsty teens than anyone else.

And Luca (FUCKING) Turilli is the musical genius behind Rhapsody. Unlike in Rhapsody, where Luca shares creative power with Alex Staropoli, his solo project is all Luca all the time, and I like it better than Rhapsody. It was actually Black Dragon by Luca that first got me into metal.

  • I fucking love Luca Turilli. Legend of Steel was the song that got me into him.

  • clean your fucking mouth b4 insulting nightwish you motherfucker

  • @OmgItsAnett

Warmen, Symphony X, Edguy, Avantasia, Dream Theater, and Queensryche (although the last one is more Rock oriented, they are a nice band!) :)

  • Man, God will kill you for say that, don't blasfem again =S!

  • jani and elias are both badass guitar players they are amazing , but its true to me it seems sonata isnt the same without jani,(my opinion) but its great jani is still making music =D

  • why would sonata change

    jani didnt compose xD

sure elias doesnt do as many solos but its not up to him, tony composes everything

plus when elias got a chance for a solo in the new album he did brilliantly

anyway, jani's always first in my heart <3

  • This sounds like a new genre of metal to me:

    Power Bulk Metal

    5/5

  • i've nothing against elias...but i think sonata is not sonata without jani..still it's a freakin awesome band and the new album kicks serious ass..but..damn.... :-/
