The greatest allegorical satirical black/afro-futurist science-fiction film ever made (alongside Sun Ra's 'Space Is The Place' of course and the utopian revolutionary eighties film Born In Flames) and it is outrageous how relatively little attention these films get even today in terms of Anglo-American science-fiction (beyond the "novelty" value of the exotic Other)..an incredible film and it is great to see the copyright cops have left it alone.

Joe Morton went from this movie to Terminator to SyFy's "Eureka. Always playing brainiac roles. This man is such a talented actor. Why hasn't he been cast in greater roles? BTW, he still looks practically the same age as in 1984! Maybe he is an alien!
