  • Dehydration is another well-known cause for achilles tendinitis. I know because I have been suffering from it for 8 months now and no end to be seen yet. I did not drink enough previous to my condition. 2 doctors, a surgeon and my physiotherapiste suggested dehydration as a cause, since I am not an atlete or something. And it is true, I did not drink enough.

  • your video was helpful, but i had a highankle sprain bout 8 weeks ago and there was major swelling all the way to my calf, also was brused from my calf all the way to my toes but the longest brus that lasted was on my achilles....and as of today it makes a slightly painful popping on the back side of my ankle and the lower part of my achilles....do u have any suggestions on what it might be or what i could do? plz reply ty

  • Antibiotics cause tendinitis too. Cipro caused me tendinitis (i was active healthy 23 year old at the time) and only 3 doses of cipro and I had tendinitis in both achilles tendons (as well as other tendons) for 18 months.
