Also, it shows how well made hyosung bikes are, the core of that bike is intact, it's not unrepairable, so hyosung are not cheap bikes, the are a company on the up and soon will be a serious competitor to the jap Market
I like this video, not cos you were hurt, burt your educating others, I totally agree, all your gear is vital, these prats that go round in t-shirts in the summer are playing russian roulette with their lives. I've come off a motorbike twice, first due to torrential rain that came from no where, bike aquaplaned at 15-20mph and second was I took a roundabout a little too quickly and the back end stepped out, again 15mph, both times I came out with nasty bruises and that's with full gear on
hahaha, thats what you get for riding a bike like a retard !! its big or clever to jump over a round about, ask any biker, you should have your license took off ya, you idiot
@motorbikedude123 The Hyosung has a wet weight of about 180kgs, and the fastest i had out of it was 86mph down a big hill, i found they had big problems with overheating as they're air cooled. If you maintain motorway speeds for longer than 20mins (after a ride) they overheat and cut out. They use a 250cc V-Twin engine with smaller piston sleaves in to make it a 125cc. With Hyosungs the models (125, 250 & 650) all share parts, like they all have the same frame and fairings for example.
Hi there I'm thinking to get one of this bikes but I'm stuck...between the hyosung gt125r or the yammah yzf r125 can you point me all the good points and bad points of me please
@motorbikedude123 Hi man, I actually test drove a YZF R125 before getting the Hyosung (I currently own a YZF R6 aswell). As far as good and bad points, they're both big, expensive and parts too are very pricey. If you can afford to choose i'd go with the Yamaha, in my opinion it's the best looking 125 on the market and it has better resale prospects aswell as long term reliability. If you decide the Hyosung you won't be disappointed, standard the both bikes are evenly matched. Hope that helps ;)
@motorbikedude123 I thought I'd add, the Hyosung is a bigger bike and the Yamaha puts more weight on your wrists as it's far more angled down at the front. I'd be happy to answer any other questions.
@motorbikedude123 hi.. iv owned a 2008 aprilia RS125 and a yamaha YZF-R125.. and it your looking for power and proformance get a aprilia.. you will love it =D... de restrict it from 14hp to 33hp :D:D:D... and i enjoyed my yamaha also what was a very good bike but its just after iv ridden the aprilia no other 125 is no where near as fun :/.. youtube: aprilia RS125 flat out... watch that video :P
Hi im getting one of these bikes next week 2007 for £1000 fort it was a bargain, people keep saying they fall apart and are not assembled probally? is this true? and are these bikes bigger than a cbr? just sold my honda cbr 125 for one of these basicly :)
@Charltonp182 In the time i had the Hyosungs i didn't find much wrong with them, i do touch base on reliability in prior comments if you're interested. The bike is marginally bigger than my current 650 so yes, massive in comparison to the cbr, funnily enough i was only driving an 07 cbr yesterday and this morning lol
@frankboblarry Hey, i think your best bet is to have a sit on one but they do have a low seat height. They are heavy bikes though, as for reliability i found them alright but they do overheat a bit, if you've been out for a while and try maintaining a high speed it very quickly overheats and dies :S As for the MPG i think to a brimmed tank (17ltrs) i got about 350miles give or take, so pretty good :) Hope that helps,
@alex931 I plan to now :) thanks to your good advice. ;) speed isnt a major concern for me cause its only to learn on, rather learn on something that wont kill me without hesitation :P Also, i heard the standard tyres have bad grip, did you feel the same? oh and mate, what are the tyre sizes, i cant seem to find it anywhere online :/ is the overheating a really major problem though? or is it only in the near-red-line revs or 70+mph sorta speeds? cheers :) Ben
@frankboblarry I never changed the tyres on the bike as i didn't have either of the Hyosungs long enough to warrant it but i didn't have any traction issues that i recall, bare in mind i had the bike through pretty good weather, no doubt i drove in horrific rain and such but they seemed ok, as for the sizes, have a look at the tyre wall when you sit on one as i really don't know. The overheating was a big issue, just give one a damn good test drive to see how it is ;) -(atleast 15miles)
Hey mate, I'm gonna do my cbt soon, and i'm stuck between getting the gtr or cbr, the cbr has a bad reputation in my town so I don't really want to get one, the only things stopping me from gettin this bike are; could a 5ft6 guy get on it with both feet touching the floor, and two, is it reliable? Oh and what's your mpg? Would really appreciate a reply :) cheers
@alex931 I get my Hyosung in february 2011 NOT LONG NOW !!! :D i'll keep it for about 1 and a half / 2 years then get a car when my money goes up at my work.........my insurance is going to be like 2000 for fully comp and legal cover :/ did your insurance go up a fortune when you totalled your bike ? and what new bike did they give you :) thanks
@MysteryBiker123 My insurance was fairly cheap, i mean, about £350 fully comp on the hyosung, then i crashed it and they replaced it with the same make and model, and i didn't have to change insurance but then when i got my SV650S i paid about £690 TPFT so i was a fair bit more :)
@MysteryBiker123 Yea, I'm from the UK. I think it was like £370 or £470, i can't remember exactly but i have a feeling it was under £400, bare in mind though that when i actually owned & insured this bike petrol was under a pound a litre lol, it was what seems like an eternity ago :) (also the bike was garaged which took it down like £50+)
@MysteryBiker123 Yea, there's a roundabout that i go over and i'm speeding up to it as it's got a huge dip followed by a downhill and you can jump anything over it, i mean anything lol... if you listen you can here the engine note change (that's when it's in mid air) and then the swearing is because it's a big jump and a slightly harsh landing lol ;)
i'm 16 and i'm almost 17 i want a 125 ? i am buying a Hyosung GT 123 R 2010 plate! almost no miles on the clock for 2000 English Pounds from a 50 year old guy at my work so he wont of ragged it around ! Is that a good deal :) thanks like the vid SAFE RIDING ! any really bad points about the bike you did not mention on your vid :) ps i'm going to fit a louder exhaust to make it sound bigger ??????????
@MysteryBiker123 Hey, thanks for your comment and i don't know if i mentioned on here but the only problems i found with my 09 model was 1: it's air cooled, it over heats an awful lot, they may have addressed this problem for the 2010 range but it could barely drive 7miles at 70mph before over heating to the point where it needed to stop at the side of the road (and by that i mean it turned itself off lol) and 2: it needs a 6th gear, constantly trying to change up from fifth to no avail...
@alex931 Thanks Alex :/ yes i have heard of the no 6th gear been a pain in the ass, never heard of the cooling problem though ? thanks very much, it is fun to ride :) good acceleration ? and can you wheelie or get the front wheel up even a little ;) and lastly would you recommend me getting a 2010 model pretty much new ! very good condition. Thanks Jack!
@MysteryBiker123 I did find the bike very fun, it has a good road presence and teaches you the weight of a real bike. wheelies are a no, i mean if you stood on the pillion pegs and popped the clutch i imagine it'd go up but it's a very small engine in a very big bike, as for a first bike, they're very expensive to repair, and not hugely reliable, but you'll have to ask yourself wether the pros out weigh the cons...
@Kt1an Ah cool, if you send e a message with your email address i'd be happy to send you the song, it's off of my second album deep water, i'll have to put some vids up of some of the other songs ;)
@Flamorgan It's interesting to hear a review on the 650, i think that was the real niche in the market with the hyosungs, the 125,250 and 650 all sharing the 650 frame made them desirable, certainly the 125s. Also, don't be so sure with the speed of the sv650s, i've had mine dyno'd and the top speed was 140mph at 70bhp on a ten year old model, i've had an indicated 138mph on the road but i imagine to get 140mph true speed it'd be indicating around 145mph. Thanks for the comment ;)
@09nilsatis The Hyosungs are really good bikes. The build quality is pleasing given it's place of origin (Korea). Their 0-60 time is quite bad, i think it's around 14-17 secs, but their 0-50 is around 11 secs, just crawls up after 55 lol. The fastest i had mine was an indicated 86. They're certainly not slow and 125s that beat me in acceleration lost at top end. The best part about this bike though is the size, i mean it has a bigger fuel tank than my current 650. It's a real head turner.
you must have been fuckin embarressed after overtakin a car then crashin what a faggot av probs done more crazy ass things with my bike n pushed it more than you and iv never crashed haha
i was a bit embarrassed yes, but you realise this crash was around 6-7months ago and i've been fine since yea? and i have just brought a suzuki sv650s and only have mod 2 of my full bike test to go? what are you doing with your life? failing on L-plates?
emmmm no unlike yourself my good man i have since passed my bike test n now have a zx6r kawasaki 03plt so when you knw me then you can say what you like untill then just wheesht
you only get 75mph omg man i get 84-85 with my one thats standard lol push it past the redline to near 11k rpm nxt time your in 6th n have a nice staright road mate you will get 80+ honestly
Hey, I've never had any engine troubles with mine, i'm on my second now just coming up to 5,000 miles, only trouble i've had is the clutch slipped, but that was due to the clutch thing above the engine was touching the engine casing so it could never fully disengage, but that was soon fixed under warranty, just had to move it back a few splines. the mpg riding at around 6-7000rpm (40-45mph) is around 350miles to a brimmed tank, riding hard you'll still get just over 250miles, hope that helps :)
Thats a beautiful bike, i'm hopefully getting one in january although its alot of saving to rack up, it will nice to have a bike thats not a scooter. Great video hope you get your bike sorted soon.
Yea, I've done around 3,600 miles with my current one, had no trouble, learnt my lesson big style. I'm taking my full licence at the end of the month, have to take my theory and stuff but i can't wait :)
top end is 85 at about 12,000rpm, need a big hill to achieve ;)
handle really well, won't run out of tyre with them, really fat wheels and everyone talks to you about the bike, it's a very good looking bike and then people realise it's a 125 and love it even more :)
nice boots, i have the same ones. I have just passed my test and agree about the full outfit deal, even though I only ride a 125 scooter, it still does 70 and no matter what speed you fall off at its going to hurt. I know how easy it is to get carried away with yourself but you need to bed your skills into yourself and ride like your on your test for a couple of months before you unleash you nutty side :P
man that sucks. quality video though. a good tribute. i have the same bike, have had a few off's including almost being killed by a van driver at a junction, but so far all the damage ive done has been easily repairable.
i must agree with all the comments on here, the hyosung bikes are very good
Yea, fortunately, because i bought fully comp insurance, the policy will replace my bike with a brand new make and model bike if it's written off in the first 6 months. Obviously, mine is so I'm waiting on my replacement. I love the Hyosungs...it's the size and styling of them that does it for me. The feel of a real bike as apposed to a 125. Can't wait to be back on the road. Thanks for the comment ;)
Glad your ok. How did you like the bike otherwise. Check out my giant killer robot project vids.

demonlover35 2 years ago
They only have 5 gears. Personaly i think they should have 6 once you hit high revs in top then the engine feels like it could handle another gear.
daporkchopexpress 2 years ago
he's talking about the yamaha, but i totally agree with the hyosung, needs a sixth gear + liquid cooling
alex931 2 years ago
Ohhhh gotcha my bad lol yh my brother has a Yammy R125 and i got to say 5 and 6th gears are realy gutless more cruzing gears.
daporkchopexpress 2 years ago
lol the 650r have 6th gear but 125 and 250 only have the 5

Hey, I've never had any engine troubles with mine, i'm on my second now just coming up to 5,000 miles, only trouble i've had is the clutch slipped, but that was due to the clutch thing above the engine was touching the engine casing so it could never fully disengage, but that was soon fixed under warranty, just had to move it back a few splines. the mpg riding at around 6-7000rpm (40-45mph) is around 350miles to a brimmed tank, riding hard you'll still get just over 250miles, hope that helps :)
alex931 2 years ago
is this a realiable bike that lasts?

shortbusdriver1969 2 years ago
top end is 85 at about 12,000rpm, need a big hill to achieve ;)
handle really well, won't run out of tyre with them, really fat wheels and everyone talks to you about the bike, it's a very good looking bike and then people realise it's a 125 and love it even more :)
hope that helped
(excuse spelling/gramma in a rush)

nice boots, i have the same ones.
Grazo22 2 years ago
Very true, i've replaced my boots with some nice Sidi boots :D they're lush

man that sucks. quality video though. a good tribute. i have the same bike, have had a few off's including almost being killed by a van driver at a junction, but so far all the damage ive done has been easily repairable.
i must agree with all the comments on here, the hyosung bikes are very good
lewtkw 2 years ago
Yea, fortunately, because i bought fully comp insurance, the policy will replace my bike with a brand new make and model bike if it's written off in the first 6 months. Obviously, mine is so I'm waiting on my replacement. I love the Hyosungs...it's the size and styling of them that does it for me. The feel of a real bike as apposed to a 125. Can't wait to be back on the road. Thanks for the comment ;)
