I loved this college football theme. Just watched the 1990 Peach Bowl earlier this week between Auburn and Indiana with this theme at the beginning.

When did ABC take over for CBS for the Big Ten. Many Iowa games in 1985 were on CBS, just wondering when ABC took over the rights.

@mrudebec CBS had the Big Ten in 1985 and 1986. I think ABC took over in 1987 but I swear the 1988 Miami (FL) at Michigan game was on CBS. could be wrong.

Wow, you got the whole song. But is it just me or does it seem a little bit sped up compared to the in game broadcasts I've seen this.

@glory789 It was the 1989-1990 season if I'm not mistaken... before that, ABC sports had the same theme song for all sports but a different version for each (college football, NFL, WWS, etc.)

@marcio3santos From 1990-93, ABC Sports used a modified version of this theme during their College Basketball coverage, not sure about the others, though.
