Hmmm... Perhaps if you're a free player, then yes... it's a pretty good place. But members can go to ardougne's bank, then take the boat to Brimhaven, get to the northwest peninsula, and start mining gold there. There are 11 gold rocks there to mine from, and it's not far at all from a bank. Fill your inventory, take boat back, bank them, repeat.
