I just gotta say.. I HATE IT when people judge a band on a single live video! I play drums in a band called insideI (myspace it if you wounder if it's hard). It's fucking hard playing live! You can't even think that a song will sound the same on a consert with different amps, drums, sound men (i know most band have their own thank you). But you get the point! They are VERY good compared to 70% of all bands live performance on the planet.

Just accept musical change in a band, it happens all the time and this decision probably helped the band more than anything. The Crusade has probably been their best effort, I do prefer the singing on the earlier albums but its people like you who always complain when a band changes vocal styles, plus Matt wanted to sing but he couldn't so he took lessons to improve his singing.

I bought Trivium to hear TRIVIUM, not metallica v2.0. Seriously. It's like going to the store to buy As I Lay Dying's New CD and hearing A Day To Remember coming outta my system - they might both be good bands but I bought As I Lay Dying BECAUSE I like As I Lay Dying (Sorry for the redundancy).

He never liked screaming. But he did it because he sucked at clean singing. But, some time after Ascendancy, he took lessons, and decided to switch. And now he doesn't scream because it'd mess with his new singing style.
