Do tricep dips or tricep extensions, tricep dips are when you hold yourself up on something like a car bumper, figers facing the way your feet are, and have your feet close together on a chair or something, then dip down, and go back up slowly, tricep extentions are when you have a dumbell, and you hold your arm straight up, then bend it down behind you at the elbow and go back up. there are others but those are the most versatile, and the tricep extentions can be done lying down or standing.

This exercise is really tough and if attempt it when you are not strong enough, you will get injured. If you cant do at least 20 normal slow pushups with flawless form then you shouldnt do these.

If want to lose weight instead of gain muscle, then you should mostly do cardio workouts. These are longer, drawn-out exercises like long distance running or aerobics. You can find lots online.
What does one do if he does not want to gain muscle at all but wants to lose fat? I know I sound stupid but I want to focus on losing fat instead of gaining muscle. do I do anything differently?

The whole pro-BB thing is ridiculous. In all their magazine interviews, they always say "I just work really intensely ...". What a bunch of bull****. With the exception of the one or two genetic mutants on the planet, you dont get to be 300lbs of solid muscle with just hard work. I can tell you are one of those people who really pushes themselves. To start back up, start really light and use very slow reps. Promise yourself that you wont increase the poundage more than 5% per week. Give the tendons a chance to get used to the load again.

It depends. If you are an advanced bodybuilder, then yes, you need 5-7 days rest before re-working out a bodypart unless you are pharmaceutically enhanced :)

the main muscles being worked here are the triceps, so this kind of pushup isn't really that great for chest.
anyway, if you want a chest like scooby's you're gonna have to hit the weights. maybe he should at a disclaimer.

There are very few 100% natural wheys out there, the one I use is "OPTIMUM NUTRITION - 100% WHEY GOLD NATURAL CHC 5LB" although it has doubled in price to about $54 and I can no longer afford it :( Now I buy the nasty EAS stuff from costco that has dow chemical working overtime.

Scooby, although it is more expensive, I took your advise and have been using it about a month now. After a lot of research, I have found out that Optimum is definitely the healthiest with the most benefits. I was bummed to read that you switched. Do you like the new stuff you are using? Will you go back to Optimum Nutrition? GNC had a sale on it a few weeks ago.

scooby i have a few questions. When you say do not do this exercise until you have been lifting for 6 months what exactly do you mean by that? do you mean working by doing pushups,crunches, pull ups for six months or just weight lifting? Also you said that it takes 5-7 days to recooperate. can you workout during that time if it does affect the muscles that are not currently sore? Thanks

This exercise is really tough and if attempt it when you are not strong enough, you will get injured. If you cant do at least 20 normal slow pushups with flawless form then you shouldnt do these.

actually there isnt, it really is a way of telling growth, i got them on my 2-4year and they are still ther(in my 4th year) but they will go away after a while

hi scooby, gr8 videos m8. im 19 and have been weight training from the age of 14 i consider myself advanced in the training methods etc, ur videos are perfect for that little inspiration for new ideas of training. listen i have had deep stretch marks on my inner shoulder leading to my chest, my training partners who are like urself experienced bodybuilders and have evan competed and won mr uk, all say it is just a growth of the muscle too fast. any ideas on how 2 prevent them wud b gr8!

Anyway, I agree with you, Scooby's BB videos are healthy, explanatory, and cheap. They are also not time-consuming and show you how to get a good body without spending money on fake BB gear.

If want to lose weight instead of gain muscle, then you should mostly do cardio workouts. These are longer, drawn-out exercises like long distance running or aerobics. You can find lots online.

The whole pro-BB thing is ridiculous. In all their magazine interviews, they always say "I just work really intensely ...". What a bunch of bull****. With the exception of the one or two genetic mutants on the planet, you dont get to be 300lbs of solid muscle with just hard work. The sad thing is kids believe them and then are disappointed when they cant look like Jay Cutler.

I've been working out 6 month or so... I'm 25, 65 kg, and I'm taking whey protein three times per day and a suplemement called nitrix, also hydroxycut cos I'm doing cardio to lose weight. Sorry this is off topic, but I was wondering if I want to lower body fat is it better to do cardio 40-50min 5 days and rest weekends OR 30min but do it 7 days a week? (My cardio is running about 9min/mile)

No wonder you are lethargic if you are doing 500 pullups a day! Whoa horsey!
I can tell you are one of those people who really pushes themselves. To start back up, start really light and use very slow reps. Promise yourself that you wont increase the poundage more than 5% per week. Give the tendons a chance to get used to the load again.

Hey, Scooby! Great video! Even though I cant do these (yet!), I will for sure keep trying them. But i have a question. Is it better to do-
a) 3 sets of pushups, then 1-2 hour rest, 3 sets of pushups, then 1-2 hour rest and so on..
OR
b) keep doing pushups with 1-2mins rest for 30 minutes until u are so sore that u cant move.
---
If u know what I mean. I just need to know if its better to train all along the day or if im supposed to train hard for 30 mins and then rest through the day.

It depends. If you are an advanced bodybuilder, then yes, you need 5-7 days rest before re-working out a bodypart unless you are pharmaceutically enhanced :)

Hey Scooby1961 I have a question, I exercise everyday one day I'll do lower body and ab's the next I'd do upper body, Now I can manage to get almost all of my muscles sore except my biceps I've tried going with more weight and fewer reps and less weight with more reps i've tried almost everything to try and get them sore but I just can't no matter what, is there anything I can do about this?
