the sex offender laws are a form of segregation. this type of injustice was supposed to be abolished in the 50's and 60's. this is part of the witch hunt mentality that has been prevalent for several decades. the sex offender laws will have to fall. this type of injustice cannot be tolerated. saying that a person cannot live or frequent certain areas is segregation, pure and simple.
The sex registry is a joke. Only a small percent of registered offenders are deemed dangerous by the judicial system. A huge bulk of them are consensual,statutory cases , even 19 year olds with 16 year olds. Its all overblown,media hysteria. The cops need to start monitoring the real pedophiles and quit harrasing people who simply broke a law. Is Elvis a sex offender for marrying Priscilla at 14? Was he a public threat? I think not!! Grow up America,Europe is way more progressive on all this!!
