Any BAT employee that goes on strike should immediatly loose their position and all benfits and pension. Have governmet take it over just like Reagan did with tthe Air traffic controllers. Over a 100k for sitting in a cab of a train on your ass, going "beep beep" twice when pulling into a station? Any trained monkey could that.

Depending on which union you in, ATU 1555 makes the most AND they are the ones want the raise, that's known, those of you suckers working in BART and NOT in ATU 1555 shut the fuck up about you are not makeing 150k a year. With 1555, not only and management make that kind of money, a train operator or a station 'watcher' make that money.

The East Bay has AC Transit, San Francisco has MUNI. San Mateo County has SamTrans and CalTrain, so a strike would not be a total loss. The BART workers are demanding a pay raise when the agency is losing money?

I just don't think we can judge the whole union as being guilty of doing something wrong just because two cops crossed the line.

Telling the whole union they "should not " ask for more money during contract talks is the basic REPUBLICAN point of view.

But I just happen to disagree.

I believe a good union ALWAYS asks for more than they know they will get.

And talking about a strike is the only thing the union can do to push their side.

A strike is their only weapon.
