When I was younger, i did not appreciate Davis' talent, especially when I see what is passing for entertainment and talent today, and they are getting paid ten times as much money if not more than these old and extraordinarily talented old entertainers. Davis has a range in his singing voice I did not know her had. I know Jerry was tired but he could have been a lot more enthused about Sammy's performance.

It's nice to hear this song without it being screeched at you! It's interesting to ponder whether Sammy had been working on an album of songs from recent stage musicals when he became ill, what with this, I dreamed a dream, music of the night, memory and more in his repertoire at the time. It would have been a nice last hurrah if he had completed something like that - certainly a more fitting end to a career than his country album.
