Megas XLR - S-Force tribute (Power Rangers Theme)

Its a cross parody of G-Force, Voltron and a little Power Rangers thrown in. G-Force for the costumes, Voltron for the robot and Power Rangers for the martial arts poses, Zordon spoof and Power Ranger flip 0:32. Oh and of course the bad guy looking just like the dude in G-Force.

I think the Zordon face was the only part about this that just screamed 'Power Rangers' to me. I never watched G-Force, but I knew of it. And I was a Voltron kid, so that is all I saw with the 'Zorps'. An awesome pair of episodes, and set very well to the music. Nice work!

Gatchaman-style uniforms with mecha. Gatchaman was one of the first Sentai. Including mecha/robos makes it Super Sentai. Pure awesome. Of course people associate combining-mecha with Power Rangers, though.

One of the reasons why I hated Megas, it tried to pay homage to classics (Gatchaman in this case) but it did it so badly that it instead crapped on them. No respect at all.

@MightyTANK1 Sometimes the best honor we can do to the (Incredibly Cheesy) cartoons of yesteryear is say 'Yeah, we still remember you.' That, in itself, is the nature of parody.

After all, imitation is the highest form of flattery. That and I am quite sure the entirety of MEGAS XLR was just "How would Coop fight _____? Let's make an episode out of that."

I mean they had Captain Harlock and countless other references. It was a parody show.
