These are the pads I'd like to get, but why in the hell do they sew the leg straps directly into the pad? I wear my pads snug and have a tendency to break the odd strap, and replacing straps on these wouldn't be such a simple task. They should use the strap set-up Vaughn does.
So looks like Velocity or Larceny 9's for this guy.
@KeybladeMaster035 I would look at the Revoke 9000's as long as you liked the butterfly style pad. If you liked your One60's, I would just go with the One80's.
i just got these leg pads, love em, taking a lot of getting used to, but i think it is the worst thigh board i have ever had, does not fit on knee comfortably, doesnt fit into knee cavity, just terrible thigh board
@jaytseng Mainly the materials, but there are also more adjustability features as well. The biggest enhancement when upgrading to the RX10 is a higher grade leather and foam. The foams are a lot nicer and will last longer and provide better protection.
@icehockeywarehouse I play rec league 2-4 times per week. All of the mid-level pads I have purchased seem to start falling apart after 1 year, so I've started looking at the "pro" level pads. That might be the way I go, just so I can get some more mileage out of them.

@GPz84 Agreed. It's definitely a pain to put a new strap on.

Hey Erik,
Would you choose these over the Reebok Larceny L9?

@dccamp2010 Yes.

Hows the leg rotation on these pads(with that calf wing)?
kohogoalie31 3 months ago
@kohogoalie31 It's still pretty good because you can adjust the wing to be loose if you want.

@icehockeywarehouse Thanks, haha I have one other question is the graphic stitched or painted on?

Thinking about getting these . I currently have the Bauer One60's . Should I go with the Reebok 9000's or these ? ? ?

@icehockeywarehouse Okay thanks, I don't really like Bauer pads anymore so I think I'll go with the Reebok 9000's. Xmas list! :]

@KeybladeMaster035 Hey i just like to creep but another option is the one 100 or as Erik said the one80 < there good pads :D
kohogoalie31 3 months ago
@kohogoalie31 The One100's would be a great choice, but the price tag is a little high for a lot of people.

what's the main difference between the rx10 and rx8? is it just material differences?

These look pretty nice, but my question is: Are the RX10s actually worth the extra 750-1000 bucks?
NeubyWanKaneuby 10 months ago
@NeubyWanKaneuby Depends how much you are playing and at what level. If your playing a lot at a high level, I would think it would be worth it.

@NeubyWanKaneuby I would say the RX8 pads should be fine, but if your having issues with that level, then it may be best to step up.
