Anyone who is playing their first walkthrough and say they didn't get cursed is lying. Plain and simple. Especially if they were using some printed guide or YouTube walkthrough video to guide them. DS is hands down the most difficult and confusing game if you have NO help. But the most rewarding. Weird.
Ghost, your main problem last episode was that you got too creeped out by the evil gecko things. You were freaking out, lost your composure and LEFT THEM ALIVE. What helps me deal with freaky crap in games is killing it. Then you don't need to look at it.

Hey i'm just about to start this game and i wanna be a warrior kinda guy but i also want some pyromancy spells, should i start as a knight and buy some spells later on, or start as a pyromancy guy and level up to be a knight?
Go to the forest and kill the black knight for the grass shield, it speeds up your stamina recharge, and if you reinforce the shield you will have a good shield that recharges stamina quickly. But dont go into the watch tower, the knight will kick your ass, and so will the crystal giants.
@ziggen95 Go to where you faught the gargoyles and where you rang the bell that creepy levitating dude talk to him and he will give you one for 3k souls i belive.. the same thing happend to me ;p next time to kill people unless you know you wont need them ;o
@d3m0npro Depends, if ur a faith builder, upgrade ur weapon with divine coz it stacks with faith stat, the higher the faith, the more damage u`ll deal.On the upper hand if u choose raw ur base dmg will increase but will lower ur weapon grade ( str n dex will decrease to D) also u can use the enchant weapon spell on raw weapons and resin.Hope this helps
The reason people were bitching and moaning was because they're obviously not ready for another side of Ghost. If you really want to get to know someone, and even how the play, you've gotta see what they're like when they're in a good state of mind, and a not so good state of mind.

@judewanamaker I heard that there is a Big fish that buys stuff from you. it's near the first bonfire where the "shallow" water is. I think you must complete the game, but maybe you must ring both bells.

@slyfoxANDnovasuck you can....once you ring both bells of awakening ...a serpent appears in firelink shrine in the broken down chapel next to the graveyard...you can "feed items" to the NPC and he will give you souls for them.
You can get a lot of the mosses by farming the easy to kill tree people in the Darkroot Basin. There are 4 of them if you go through the basment of the blacksmith where u kill ed the headless demon.

Lol people hating... Well we all make mistakes.... For those of you that are a little further ahead I fell into the abyss 3 time without using the ring even though I had it in all 3 occasions... Most likely the stupidest thing I have ever done in my life...
The difference between magic and pyro and miracles are that ... magic and miracles are increased the leveling up... which is kind of a bad thing if you rely heavily on melee because it will put your out of range for summoning people to your game if you want help. Pyromancy scales with your weapons level so anyone can use it effectively it helps on alot of bosses, but a few bosses will be almost immune to it's damage so that is where the draw back is.
The large ember allows the blacksmith to ascend your weapon if you have a +5 standard weapon. (recommend probably to wait until you can ascend to lightning or fire weapon because stat scaling from weapons kind of sucks).
Also, for leveling tips 40 endurance is kind of where you want to be (if you want max bar for endurance) Attunement can also be leveled a few times so you can get more slots for pyro / magic. Healing is only good if you have a prob with flasks running dry.
I would recommend carrying 1 or 2 purging stones ( buy them from the guy ontop of the church 1/2 price ). Also, you can go back to the beginning of the game and acquire a shield that reduces magic damage by 80% when blocking (HELPFUL) and a ring that makes you move like normal when in water or swamps. Just make sure before you go to Northern Asylum you get the key from he roof right before the nest to get back to the Asylum.
Also, before going to blighttown i would get about 10 psn/tox cures.
Also, pyromancy is imo better than magic for people who don't want to spend souls leveling "magic" so... it kind of synergizes better for melee classes and does retarded amounts of damage if you up your pyromancy glove (currently the only way to increase pyromancy damage). I'd buy fire orb or fireball and combustion to have a good attack repertoire. Pyromancy ironflesh is also helpful on bosses (reduces the damage you take alot). Flashsweat can be helpful against "fire" bosses.
Ghost there are a few things you can do! I actually bought this game because of your walk-through, but I'm a bit further than you are now!
I'd definitely do a few things. First I would probably explore darkroot a little bit. Also, if you manage to get 20k souls (blacksmith sells the key) you can farm souls and get all your equipment upped to at least to the Large Titanite range. (Farming souls in darkroot kind of kills the "farming" aspect of the game).

ghost just some health and damage help, in the undead forest/dark forest W.e its called there is some elite knight armour that will help you out and you will take a little bit less damage, also if you beat a semi difficult mini boss havel the rock he drops a ring that will allow you to equip more gear, this helps with the elite armour and or swords this is what has helped me throughout what you have done do far, if you do thus i hope it helps you like it did me PM if you would like better detail
As much as those titanite shards go, you use the large titanite shards to upgrade your weapon after it's +5. The green titanite is to upgrade your weapon to divine,occult etc. I think I'm not sure but now that your uchigatana is +5, you go into modify weapon ( ascension) to use the large titanite or green titanite to upgrade it further
IF YOUR WEAPON IS +5 THEN YOU'LL BE REQUIRED TO USE LARGE TITANITE SHARDS, IF THE + GETS HIGHER YOU'LL BE REQUIRED TO USE 2 OR 3 LARGE TITANITE SHARDS. MAGIC/ENCHANTED WEAPONS REQUIRE GREEN SHARDS, RAW WEAPONS REQUIRE LARGE TITANITE SHARDS, DIVINE WEAPONS REQUIRE TWINKLING I THINK? AND FIRE/CHAOS WEAPONS REQUIRE RED TITANITE CHUNK... ETC. ETC. YOU NEED TO FIND IT OUT YOURSELF GHOST!!!!!!
Its funny cause i was 22 levels higher than you when i beat the gapping dragon. You are doing very well but until you know your way around blighttown is hateyourlifetown. I'd recomend finding and using a map online
Ghost plays like 3 other games besides DS for Youtube, and probably has a life (don't know him so idk lol), so that's probably why it takes him a little while to progress.
Pyromancy all the way! It's a lot easier to use than spells or miracles anyway since it has no stat requirement and enemies tend to be weak toward fire.
go for the combustion pyromancy its usefull and powerful against many enemies that just get to close for you to wind up a fire ball. and dont forget the black knight under the circular stair case in the undead burg just before the place you fought the taurus demon. he drops a ring you will love that makes your equpe load like 20 points more hope this helps

go back to blacksmith and go to "modify eqiupment" every 5 levels you can modify it that is how you use your other shards
the eye you got from the frog is VERY useful go down into the catacombs and you will be able to join a covenent which gives you a good miracle and sword to enter it u need to go in the open coffin that is located right infront of the demon who shoots thunder at you you beat 1 of these before the forest
I chose Cleric from the outset and the healing spell isn't all that when you already have +1 on your flasks, go for the pyromancy. Unlike the flasks you can't use the healing spell if any enemies are around as the animation is slow and leaves you quite defenceless.
Hold on the bat for a bit. Keep DS rolling! Much more suspenseful since it is so much less forgiving. Yes, dual wield a lot more with bosses and other. You need to dual wield the halberd and great axe.
1 .Get the healing spell for after battles instead of using flasks make sure u have the talisman to cast it and remember u need a free attunment.
2. get pyromancy fireball is like fire bombs but stronger
3.repair box you brought can be used to repair armor weapons at bonefires
4.the normal titanit shard are used to reinforce weap/arm get the other boxes so u can do it at your bonefire. green is for magic/divine weapons. it tells you in the top right hand corner what is required to upgrade.
one more lol... since u goin to blightown n u WILL NEED the purple moss grind some of.the walkin bushes in the forest and they drop all 3 purple moss (poison) blossom (toxic) and red moss (bleeding).

Hey ghost good vids man got a some advice DO grind the forest but if u fsel bad about "cheating" I only did.the forest so I could up my weapons im level 65 and still use a +10 battle axe everyonce in a while.. 2. Go pyromancy MOST the enemies ull find will have low fire defense so is worth it.. 3 dont level up ur hp too high because thats gona make u take more hits and u will develop a bad habit.. 4 learn to like other melee weapons because they all have a use and u will have an easier time..
I would highly recommend that you grind for a bit in Darkroot Garden because once you defeat the Hydra boss in the area (can be reached from Undead Burg lower level of the tower where the big guy with the club chills out) you gain access to a hidden area of the forest with enemies that drop 1000 to 2000 souls per enemy and there is a cheat for killing these enemies (you can find out more about this cheat on the Gamespot guide)...good luck and keep up the great vids!
Get Combustion pyromancy spell its really short range but it comes out really fast and does good damage. drop all spell usage and switch to pyro much better and wont have problem aiming like spells do. All titanite stuff is used to upgrade wep/arm. giving the different embers to blacksmiths allows for ascension of wep/arm after u max it to +5 for normal upgrade then can use the fancy titanites.
ghostrobo when u go to blighttown and kill queelog save her soul for when u get to anor londo u can ascend a certain sword and use her soul to create one bad ass sword queelogs fury sword scales off dex and humanity vote good so he can see
when you use heavy attacks whit the pyromancy flame...you do a fire punch kinda like a weak version of a Falcon punch...

@doomgaurdian He saved the pyromancer, he want back to the shrine, and he decided not to buy any fire spells......
At the time he had at least 10,000 souls, he was just unsure what spell to purchase.
Fireball is the basic pyromancy spell (8 uses)
Fire orb is the next improvement on Fireball (6 uses)
As you can tell, these spells do not have very many uses, so it's probably best to buy multiples of these spells

The difference between magic and pyro and miracles are that ... magic and miracles are increased the leveling up... which is kind of a bad thing if you rely heavily on melee because it will put your out of range for summoning people to your game if you want help. Pyromancy scales with your weapons level so anyone can use it effectively it helps on alot of bosses, but a few bosses will be almost immune to it's damage so that is where the draw back is.

The large ember allows the blacksmith to ascend your weapon if you have a +5 standard weapon. (recommend probably to wait until you can ascend to lightning or fire weapon because stat scaling from weapons kind of sucks).
Also, for leveling tips 40 endurance is kind of where you want to be (if you want max bar for endurance) Attunement can also be leveled a few times so you can get more slots for pyro / magic. Healing is only good if you have a prob with flasks running dry.

I would recommend carrying 1 or 2 purging stones ( buy them from the guy ontop of the church 1/2 price ). Also, you can go back to the beginning of the game and acquire a shield that reduces magic damage by 80% when blocking (HELPFUL) and a ring that makes you move like normal when in water or swamps. Just make sure before you go to Northern Asylum you get the key from he roof right before the nest to get back to the Asylum.
Also, before going to blighttown i would get about 10 psn/tox cures.

Also, pyromancy is imo better than magic for people who don't want to spend souls leveling "magic" so... it kind of synergizes better for melee classes and does retarded amounts of damage if you up your pyromancy glove (currently the only way to increase pyromancy damage). I'd buy fire orb or fireball and combustion to have a good attack repertoire. Pyromancy ironflesh is also helpful on bosses (reduces the damage you take alot). Flashsweat can be helpful against "fire" bosses.

Ghost there are a few things you can do! I actually bought this game because of your walk-through, but I'm a bit further than you are now!
I'd definitely do a few things. First I would probably explore darkroot a little bit. Also, if you manage to get 20k souls (blacksmith sells the key) you can farm souls and get all your equipment upped to at least to the Large Titanite range. (Farming souls in darkroot kind of kills the "farming" aspect of the game).

A few things that might make it easier for you (if these are still in the game. I wont have Dark Souls until next month.)
Practice riposte. Block before an enemy attacks then swing. It will deal massive damage, more useful than backstab IMO.
Forward + Attack (on Demon's Souls) would make you knock away an enemy's shield, leaving them open
Only block when you need to. Leaving it up will prevent stamina from regenerating, giving you less stamina for attacks.

ghost just some health and damage help, in the undead forest/dark forest W.e its called there is some elite knight armour that will help you out and you will take a little bit less damage, also if you beat a semi difficult mini boss havel the rock he drops a ring that will allow you to equip more gear, this helps with the elite armour and or swords this is what has helped me throughout what you have done do far, if you do thus i hope it helps you like it did me PM if you would like better detail

As much as those titanite shards go, you use the large titanite shards to upgrade your weapon after it's +5. The green titanite is to upgrade your weapon to divine,occult etc. I think I'm not sure but now that your uchigatana is +5, you go into modify weapon ( ascension) to use the large titanite or green titanite to upgrade it further

Pyromancy all the way! It's a lot easier to use than spells or miracles anyway since it has no stat requirement and enemies tend to be weak toward fire.

go for the combustion pyromancy its usefull and powerful against many enemies that just get to close for you to wind up a fire ball. and dont forget the black knight under the circular stair case in the undead burg just before the place you fought the taurus demon. he drops a ring you will love that makes your equpe load like 20 points more hope this helps

go back to blacksmith and go to "modify eqiupment" every 5 levels you can modify it that is how you use your other shards
the eye you got from the frog is VERY useful go down into the catacombs and you will be able to join a covenent which gives you a good miracle and sword to enter it u need to go in the open coffin that is located right infront of the demon who shoots thunder at you you beat 1 of these before the forest

I chose Cleric from the outset and the healing spell isn't all that when you already have +1 on your flasks, go for the pyromancy. Unlike the flasks you can't use the healing spell if any enemies are around as the animation is slow and leaves you quite defenceless.

1 .Get the healing spell for after battles instead of using flasks make sure u have the talisman to cast it and remember u need a free attunment.
2. get pyromancy fireball is like fire bombs but stronger
3.repair box you brought can be used to repair armor weapons at bonefires
4.the normal titanit shard are used to reinforce weap/arm get the other boxes so u can do it at your bonefire. green is for magic/divine weapons. it tells you in the top right hand corner what is required to upgrade.

Hey ghost good vids man got a some advice DO grind the forest but if u fsel bad about "cheating" I only did.the forest so I could up my weapons im level 65 and still use a +10 battle axe everyonce in a while.. 2. Go pyromancy MOST the enemies ull find will have low fire defense so is worth it.. 3 dont level up ur hp too high because thats gona make u take more hits and u will develop a bad habit.. 4 learn to like other melee weapons because they all have a use and u will have an easier time..

I would highly recommend that you grind for a bit in Darkroot Garden because once you defeat the Hydra boss in the area (can be reached from Undead Burg lower level of the tower where the big guy with the club chills out) you gain access to a hidden area of the forest with enemies that drop 1000 to 2000 souls per enemy and there is a cheat for killing these enemies (you can find out more about this cheat on the Gamespot guide)...good luck and keep up the great vids!

Get Combustion pyromancy spell its really short range but it comes out really fast and does good damage. drop all spell usage and switch to pyro much better and wont have problem aiming like spells do. All titanite stuff is used to upgrade wep/arm. giving the different embers to blacksmiths allows for ascension of wep/arm after u max it to +5 for normal upgrade then can use the fancy titanites.

ghostrobo when u go to blighttown and kill queelog save her soul for when u get to anor londo u can ascend a certain sword and use her soul to create one bad ass sword queelogs fury sword scales off dex and humanity vote good so he can see
