i just bought my new SE satio this afternoon, and i was so excited to try it in our internet...

our house is on wi-fi connection but then whan i tried the facebook application it went something like

Internet: no gateway reply!!!!

im so nervous.. is there something wrong in my fone or what?

cause i was thinking that, if i use the wifi, it will automatically connect to the inetrnet without any hassle like my laptop always do everyday.. pls.help me.. thanks~

this is basically the same webkit based browser on nokia s60 devices which is great since it's not a bad browser anyways (IMO better than blackberry browser)

When I decided I need a new cellphone and looked on the Internet for one I found SE Satio the best cellphone I could possibly want. It has everything but one thing I wasn't sure I was pretty awared about. That was Internet and by looking at this video, hell no! Satio has been removed from my list of cells to look for because of that. Too bad I only have a so small list of cells now. Would you suggest that Samsung Pixon 12 will make the deal?

this fouche on the video just shows 2 websites which are for mobile and thats why u didnt like it... if u were smarter u would check put more videos about web browsing on Satio. its really great with the java and flash

You can use any app for symbian s60 6th edition so yes you can use opere or any other app designed for that symbian.

i have one question ?

i connected my phone to the internet and then it asked me to choose a location, i cud not find my country so i chose united states ! is it possible to change that location , becouse when i oppen the playnow application it says that playnow is not available in your location ! is it somegthing to do with the locatio or do we have to make an account for playnow or pay or something like that before we use it ??? can someone plz help me with this problem ?!! thank you ! : )

I really wanted to see it o the internet, the thing is, barely any phone shops around me actually allow you to look at a working model, i have been to 3, carphonewarehouse, o2, none of them offer a working model for me to try out, i need a good camera for my youtube videos but i also need a good mobile internet device more importantly, i think i might get an iphone 3gs or hold out until it's 4th incarnation unless sony come up with a multi-functional good camera phone,

@TheChaosBomb : Do you know the HTC HD2? It's absolutely perfect for internet and has a 5 mégapixels camera with double LED flash (yes, not 12MP with xenon flash, but better than the iPhone...) This HTC is the best phone I found for good internet navigation and good camera (this is also what I need)

i have the samsung pixon 8mp. and i really miss my c905 i use to have when it comes to taking pics when i´m at the club with my friends taking pics in low light conditions. led flash cannot compare to xenon flash never!!! i definitely will go back to sony, specially now that they came up with the satio.... i really care about the camera more than other issues

yes true, but my camera shoots 720 hd, satio cannot, but the led flash is pretty good on omnia, but obviously the se has better camera and flash

i picked the omnia for the hd recording playback and its beautiful amoled screen, i can live without the extra 4mp an xenon flash, but hey each to their own :)

the display of the omnia its 720p and the display of the satio is 640p, the camera of the satio does 12.1 mp and omnia 5 mp, so the satio does have way better camera but if u want to watch hd 720p movies you go with the omnia.

I´ve gotten so used to having a good camera in my pocket all the time, I feel that the iPhone is not for me.

The absence of flash really makes it useless, other than that I don´t know if there are any cons of the iPhone..

The "thing" with iPhone was the great UI, but Satio has got that too now..

I'd prefer sony phones cause personally i've never really liked the iphone too much but recently apple has announced many new applications for the new iphone so i would think its more of personal peference. However i would always go with a sony espically with the satio going to be released in a months time i'd wait for it ^^

Last thing is it annoying to write msg in the landscape mode i mean u dont have much space if writing a long msg cause the keyboard it taking more than half of the screen.

No threaded sms i assume.

First, your comment "negatively surprised" about the mobile version being displayed instead of standard version is obviously unfounded. Obviously, the mobile version display is not a true disadvantage of the phone, but of the built in browser. One could easily install opera mobile and surf the web with ease. Second, your comment that you'll only see the small version of the internet is also incorrect. Your comments are based on the particular software browser and not the phone itself.

I realize that I did spend way too little time with S60 as well as the phone. I only had it for a day and I added up internet like 30 minutes before I had to return it. So sorry for the inconvenience, I promise to spend more time on the upcoming reviews.

its not the satio's fault it loads mobile internet pages, the website assumes you want the mobile version, you have to go to the site and switch to the standard version. I'm pretty sure thats what people wanted to see.
