@sgtcool5005 from what I know of... i may not be right but, I believe it's because the gas or the piston doesnt have to travel so far like the longer gas tubes of the other weapons but, that's my 2 cents. Anyone is welcome to correct me. It also could be a heavier piston if this weapon is driven by one.

@Cycofoo1914 I've only ever see ONE gas blowback .22LR, most .22LRs are recoil operated. EG: the recoil from the exploding powder pushes the bolt back, then a return spring shoves it forward, cycling the firearm. so its a fast action because its dead simple.

@pimpinaintez67 You could probably get a regular AR, one firing 5.56, to cycle that fast if you removed the buffer and went with a very light action spring. That said, it probably wouldn't be very reliable. There is a reason why most assault rifles cycle between 600 and 800 rounds per minute.
