"MEET THE SMITHEREENS" is a song-for-song cover of the whole album, "MEET THE BEATLES." Not to be confused as an exact copy as most tribute bands try to do, but their own interpretations of the music while maintaining as closely as possible the original spirit and energy. I believe these are some of the best covers ever of this early Beatles music. GO, SMITHEREENS!!!

THey are out there killing it this summer - saw a great show in Albany the other night. They did a bunch of songs from "Tommy' and "Behind Blue Eyes" , but also "Blood and Roses" :Behind the Wall of Sleep" etc.

Not bad, not bad at all. I heard Pat DeNizio discussing the album they put out called "Meet the Smithereens"... "B" sides of Beatles classics. I've always been a fan of this band so I was anxious to see if they could pull this off. Of course, guitarist Jim Babjak uses Rickenbackers, so this much was assured. Nice to hear such a good Beatles song done well by a band that admires them as much as I do. Well done.
