  • im 18 i have to go through chemo next week for testicular cancer in the lymph nodes and i have to go through 3, 3 day sessions of chemo im really scared about needles so i dont know if i really want to go :/

  • Are you serious??? You're killing yourself. Don't worry about the cancer. Worry about the mustard gas you'll die from. Check wikipedia .. Chemo.. you'll see it's a form of mustard gas. You wanna die fast just take that. I want to die quietly in my bed at night. Not being tricked by some dr who wants to pump me full of poison after giving me the vodo curse of cancer. Don't do it! Don't be a fool. You're just a ginni pig making money for big pharma!!! Google ... infowars

  • If I would've seen this video when you first put it up a few months ago, I would have never imagined I would be going through a similar treatment. I turned 20 last month, and I had my fifth session of chemo last week. It's true, having a positive attitude can help throughout the entire process. I hope you're doing better now & I find your videos quite uplifting. Stay positive :)

I also wanted to ask where you bought your wig. I want to get one for myself, but don't know where to look.

    Thanks

  • @paolaaa0114 Hey, yikes yr so young!! It's so crazy to knw there r similar women out there and i think it's so brilliant to see us connecting :) I'm so glad yr choosing to adopt a positive attitude throughout yr treatment, i know its super hard to keep up and at times it will faulter, but don't beat yrself up about this, we can't be wonder women all 365 days of the year ;) my red wig was from ebay its human hair, i now mostly wear a brilliant synthetic brunette wig! I wonder how r doing now? x

  • @wheelblack35 wow your journey has been an incredibly tough one no doubt, you have come out the other end a shining example of strength and courage against the odds. I am so pleased to hear you are cancer free, all the best for 2012 K x

  • Epic props to you for your attitude to this side of Chemo -hugs-I wish you all the best

  • I wish you all the best. Looks like you're coping very well. Much love x

  • you know, listening to music apparently helps with the recovery, and for the most part it just keeps ones spirits up, so I'd really recommend listening to music, audiobooks etc. Also, I used to think that despite all of what was happening, it was somewhat a good time to catch up with things I wanted to do but never had time for :)

after you overcome it, it'll make you stronger than ever;)

    I'll be praying for you!!

    For all the best :)

  • Hi!!

I saw your video and I just wanted to wish you luck!!

I went through chemotherapy myself when I was 17-ish, and well, I'm alright now, so I was hoping to possibly encourage you :)

  • Thank you very much for making this video. I am one who has avoided doctors for a very long time because I don't "believe" in modern medicine and their very expensive and toxic methods of treatment. Had you ever heard of the many (less expensive) "alternative" cancer treatments that aren't as toxic as chemotherapy, such as the Gerson Therapy, pH therapy, and such? I hope you the best. Until your video I had no idea people as young as you are getting chemo, whoa!

  • Hi! your wig is absolutely gorgeous! I'm 23 and was diagnosed with the big BC a month ago and will begin chemo in about two weeks so I'm nervous about losing my hair but after seeing you I cant wait for a wig! You're the first young (as young as me) person I've met so far! stay strong :)

  • @katiep1388 Hey I just read your comment! How are you going! Praying for you!

  • i am 14 and my step greatgrandmother has breast cancer and so did my aunt they both are still living and my aunt is heathly agian so good luck. i found yuor videos while doing a research paper and i need to interview someone with breast cancer or who had it. i hope everything turns out ok.

  • What an inspirational young woman. U amaze me xx

  • I am 22 years old but I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer when I was 21. Thankfully I am cancer free now. You are a very positive cancer patient. I wish I could have had someone to relate with while on chemo. I was the youngest person at my cancer center. I took my hair loss really hard. It's not easy being in your early 20's and not have hair. Your wig is amazing I couldn't tell it wasn't your hair. Thanks for sharing god bless!

  • well you say here that you still need to style the wig etc.....but I seriously didn't notice you were even wearing a wig. Keep up with the positive attitude. xx

  • You are gorgeous.

  • You go girl!! Keep up that fantastic positive attitude. I've just finished 6 months of treatment in May and feel really positive and full of life and excited about my new short hair dos. It is a long hard journey but you will get to the end before you know it.

  • You are truly amazing and strong. And attitudes are contagious. <3 Thanks for your contributions.

  • @Pumpkinhead77 It's not a waste of money if it makes the person happy.

  • I hope you beat this cancer and that it does not return. You are a beautiful woman, not only physically, but for doing this and opening the eyes of the world to how chemotherapy works.

  • I wonder if I was the only one that didn't notice it was a wig until you pointed it out.

I can understand the hair loss being upsetting and know what that is like. I started going bald (naturally) from the age of 26. I'm almost 32 now and have very little hair left. The point I'm trying to make is that neither of us can do anything about it, but at least yours will be back with a vengeance :)

Your videos are an eye opening experience for me, you're very brave in my opinion. Keep fighting!

  • Try the aloe juice. It tastes horrible, but it's ok during the chemiotherapy for your hair and for your body!

  • i love ur tat, what does it say? mwah xx

  • hello ! it's my birthday today and i want you to know that i pray and hope for you to get better :) BEST OF LUCK. keep your enthusiasm.

  • Your so brave and such an inspiration to other's and that wig is excellent

    Goodluck.

    Tam

  • good luck with future treatments and just everything! stay strong, and the wig really does suit you :) you're beautiful

  • yeah i think the new hair looks nice...i hope the styling goes well...and good luck for your test!! : )

  • you are so gorgeous!

and you have the most beautiful and soothing voice i've ever heard

best of luck on your road to recovery

  • You're taking it really well, stay strong Katie :)

  • Gorgeous tat. Stay strong and best wishes from Alaska!

  • I admire you and your courage. Just don't give up and fight for it.

Just keep this attitude and I will be praying for you.

  • Louis Saha sent me here!

  • I really admire your courage and positive outlook on your situation, it cant be an easy thing to deal with but you seem very strong.

I think what you are doing with your blog is very brave and also very helpful and informative to others that are going through (or about to) same thing as you.

I think cancer is still seen as pretty taboo and i think its quite difficult to find real information about what happens to you during the process of treament etc.

Stay positive, you're doing an amazing job.
