  • Taylor looks and Martin tone, nice

  • I don't have this model but the GPCPA2. Though I'm entry level I don't feel guilty about it because the playability on the neck, feel and sound of the guitar makes me want to pick it up and practice more. Not in my budget, was a gift and is very appreciated. The neck nearly plays itself. I only have small issues because of very small hands and very short fingers.

  • @22decembernox76 My 10 y.o. and 12 y.o. sons have larger hands and longer fingers than me and they're small for their age. The neck depth and fretboard width isn't the problem here.

  • your an outstanding guitar player john !

  • Both Nut and Saddle are Bone...confirmed

  • Holy crap! Look at the work there! Simply beautiful! The neck is fantastic! Only about 3 grand or so? The rosette looks like abalone but the inlays are MoP. I didn't play this one but rather a new Martin without the bells and whistles. Best sounding guitar on the market, without question.

  • Greetings from Belgium John.

I miss your lessons, would LOVE more lessons like Walking blues (man).

    All the best for 2011

  • the inlay is so beautiful T.T

  • Merry Christmas, John. I hope all is well.

  • And to you. Merry Christmas and a Happy! Happy New Year!!!!!

  • Would you have anyway of getting your hands on a D'angelico Excel-SS to review. I might be buying one based on what I heard from people and some videos but I haven't been able to find an extensive review of one.

  • I did a little workout shop at the D'angelico Guitar Store in New Jersey. My favorite instruments were the Johnny Smith copies.

  • I'm not good at telling too much about the sound of guitars, but I thought this one sounded sort of, i dont know... the word Im stuck with is "stiff", despite your, as always, fantastic playing. You mentioned the action being pretty high, and I think that might have to do with it though. I remember playing guitars with noticeably high action, and having the same impression then, soundwise.

Pointless observation, and I'm probably not making any sense. I'm just gonna post this comment anyway...

  • how much can u get this for?

  • Do you do personal lessons?

  • what a better demo than guitar worlds!

  • Good day Sir

    your fan in Vermont

    Paul

  • You should try a Steve Patience custom. I'd like to hear your thoughts on those. I wouldn't trade mine for a herd of Taylors...
