Well yes and no. He can eat anything in the tank, however, because of the number of goldfish vs. the number of other fish, he usually catches the goldfish. Feeding goldfish strictly is bad for them because of thiamin deficiency, so I try to give him a varied diet. Although paying 3 bucks a fish is expensive...feeder goldfish are only $0.26. He eats about 15 fish a week.
