i understand he is very good and yes yuo probably should buy him a real set of drums but its very different from that video game to a real set of drums it can take years of practise on drums to do some songs where as the game designers make so after bout an hour you can do a song on any difficulty otherwise they wouldn't get any1 to buy the game

to be honest, i think it's harder to play rock band drums because it screws you up if you miss a note and it's hard to get back on track. BUT, the guitars aren't even close to the complexity of real frets. it takes a little of talent to play these games, but really, play a real instrument. much more rewarding.

firestorm is completly right, i'm playing in real band over a year, and almost 2 years on drums, believe me, playing in the real is great fun :D It is different to play on acustic drums and on this. On normal set u mast hit with good strength and there is much more to hit, not only 4 pads and pedal, BTW this kid should start playing on normal drum set
