@navythecat Being a bassist and not being able to spot a Fender Precision (or P-bass) when you see one is like being an aviator and not knowing what a propeller is. Released in 1951, it was the first mass-produced electric bass of all time, to the point where everybody used to say 'fender bass' instead of 'bass guitar' to describe the type of instrument it was... it probably remains the most ubiquitous/common design for a bass guitar to this day.

This video is "part 1" of an 8-part live set.. I would suggest that you watch all 8 videos. I saw Don Cab on this tour, and they were amazing. This was definitely my favorite line-up of the band, and represents, in my opinion, their creative zenith. Absolutely awesome live performances.

Not sure if you ever saw another Pittsburgh band called THIRD RAIL, but they had a guy who played with his guitar so low it was nearly vertical to him. In fact, on their single the two guitarists were identified as "Horizontal" and "Vertical".

Seeing Ian with his guitar so high was refreshing...it was like Steve Howe from YES was playing math rock...
