Hmm I´m almost shocked how they react on such basic tricks oO I mean come on they are even impressed by a simple double-lift trick. Show them some card cannibals and 2cm I really want to see how they react on THEM !

Yeah man, it's just like Jay Sankey said, simplicity is key, and the simple stuff is what hits hard. 98% of the magic is your presentation, patter, acting and performance, the other 2% is the trick itself. Just like when Houdini used the bullet catch back in the day to prove to a whole town believe that he had supernatural powers :D.

you are right. There is a simple as fuck trick, you let the "victim" choose a card, shuffle it to the top, dl the card and then put the top card vertically in the horizontal hold deck, the "victim" takes out the card and WTF it´s his. It only takes 1 Minute but they´re astonished ...

I give him crap about that all the time, because he did an invisible pass, but then he goes 'when I did that, your card came close to the top.' You wouldn't have noticed, but his hands are small, so that impedes his performance. He can barely palm a card.
