@mightywombat Never owned a DeWalt. But I started with a Makita. That was actually stolen from my garage. Jet sent me their saw which was nice for a while, and then Festool sent the Kapex. So I bounced back and forth between the two and ultimately settled on the Kapex.
@TheWoodWhisperer It's the Makita I was thinking of. That's crazy that someone straight up stole it out of your garage! I need to make friends with someone who gets really nice tools like Jet or Festool sent to them so that I can get their hand-me-downs! Or get myself sponsored by some company... somehow.... Gotta get my blog working for me!
The more I watch you the more I just wanna spread the knowledge and good techniques you have. Also I like how u implement the comedy sketch into the show. I'm surprised you don't have more views. I know you get a lot of praise but it's well deserved. I'm still looking for someone local that would want someone around just to help build and needs an extra hand for free so I can pickup on some skills. I'm just a hobbyist and they may never change my trade by day is a Flooring Contractor.
While I was watching your video I noticed you cut your dowel right on your nice workbench. I think maybe you should take a minute and whip up a bench hook for yourself:
(lets defeat the whole purpose of the web by disallowing URLS shall we?) bit (dot) ly (slash) cBwLZX I really like using bench hooks for little cuts like that.
@1pcfred Yeah I do need some bench hooks. But that the same time, my work bench is there to be beat up. So it may look nice, but if it stays that way, I must not be using it. :)
Not only are you a very knowledgeable woodworker, but you transmit all your knowledge in a smart entertaining way. Just wanted to thank you for all the effort and work you put in to producing and making the projects.
Your channel is very helpful. Thanks for all the work that you put into these videos. I was wondering what safety device were you using at 13:25 and where do you get one?
Great vidfeo, totally making gifts this year, but hey, i dont see the round circle routinf templates on rockler's website! where can i find them, and do they make square ones?
Crap! I just accidentally deleted someone's comment. Here it is reposted:
I really like your videos. Many helpful little tips. I wish I knew about not routing between the fence and the bit last Saturday. It took my piece and shot it out so fast. Scared the crap out of me. lol ---cranesgonewild
You have had a LOT of different miter saws! Jet, Festool, DeWalt... Why the turnover?

cool project, and that mahogany looks awesome with the finish, the grain almost reminds me of a Gibson guitar, except they use Honduran mahogany.
