why you do not put the sound coming from a cassette? at the place of the clean sound of the songs that accompany the film would be better and would add more aesthetic value if the sound quality was like as the cassettes ! think about it !
i bought my first album on cassette, i hope minidisc gets a mention in this documentary as it was pretty similar in its applications and also has/had a strong following amongst audiophiles
In the mid 90s I bought my first 4 track tape machine. Followed closely by the mighty yamaha MT4X. I put them in storage round 2001 and focused on my PC. A few years back (maybe 2008) I pulled all my old gear out of storage and started messing arount with tape again. Nothing beats a saturated drum machine. I still use the computer though all my signal is put down on cassette first.
