  • The balance problem is of course because of the cello being a modern cello and the viol being placed the furthest away from the mics. I wonder what this piece really is. It is not one of the three sonatas for gamba and harpsichord by Johann Sebastian Bach.

  • Actually, the guitar here cuts surprisingly well through the normally louder cello and gamba. It's a really beautiful ensemble.

  • the cello is the loudest in the ensemble. i think all three instruments blend together nicely.
