Well, its not that bad. Looks like the plane can be fixed in a couple of evenings =D I once ran out of fuel when flying my Extra. I was too low to circle to the end of the runway, but on the other hand, i was too high to point the nose down and try to land as quick as possible. I chose to dive back to the runway, and it actually worked.
But i was going too fast and the plane plowed straight into a corn field. BOOM, the entire nose section was gone. Still, it was flying the next day :)
he dip little bit too deep, should keep the pitch up when you in doubt specially belly facing. i would dip when belly facing the other way lol just for the sak of it... not a bad dive.... hope he catch some fish for dinner.....
Rocket Scientist...what did he think was going to happen when you dunk the empenage in the water and remove the airflow from over the flight controls??? Just proves that given time...some people prove that they aren't thinking!!! Too bad...
wat the hell : oh its in the water my £500 rc plane in in the water il go and get it out 1min later just got to it oh well that was a good time havin that plane
Wow, sheer brilliance! "Hmmm, let's just stand on the bank of the pond and do a control service check while the plane just fills up with water. Water is no biggie, it will only rot out the guts of the plane. No real reason to get in the water." How about a) run to the bank b) set the transmitter down and c) get the darn plane out?
you obviously downloaded this video of youtube and posted it as your own because anybody who has the slightest knowledge about rc aircraft and flying would know that that is ALOT bigger that 1/4 scale that is half because its the only snapasaurus there ever was and your a giant ass
Hi there. Seems that i have come across you being a total wanker on many videos. This is about 1/3rd scale, a half scale one would be much bigger than this and have something like a 600cc engine.
Oh, and we never did see this big PA edge, did we?
Pat added a 3d flightline on the lower part of the property. If you stand at the gazebo and look right, the pond is about a mile down, past the small lake for seaplanes. I think it opened in 2008.
that was the least amazing crash ive ever seen, i meen it looked like the electronics didnt even get wet, and its not impossible to clear water frome an enigine
@myrandomspaces The question becomes, who hasn't. Letting a gorgeous setup like that sit in the water is just insane. I am speaking as a hobbiest here....
That's because they just stand there until they panic and crash. What a stupid way to spend time and money, hovering. How about some scale like flying? And get on a treadmill at least. I should bone their wives during these events.
some how, they have to had known this wasnt a good idea, but you know these 1/4 scale + guys dont care, well maybe if it wasnt an ARF, you might try not to completely fuck it up
haha, that's snappy and it's a 50% Edge 540. It's easy to see what happened, he just didn't hit right rudder in time. That's all. It's good that he tried to save her to the end. I hate seeing people get into trouble and give up.
Also, notice how he came out? If he used right rudder, he could have flown it out. He started to use right rudder for just a second, but probably realized pretty quick that it would have flown out over the crowd.
He probably made a quick decision to dump it, rather than take the risk of flying it out over the top of the crowd.
He wasn't "outside his limits" He's an EXPERT pilot. It just comes with the territory. Even the best guys make a mistake sometimes. It doesn't mean he is an idiot. It doesn't mean he is outside his limits or flying above his ability.
He just made a mistake. It's called a dumb thumb. It happens to the best of them. It's an unfortunate part of this great hobby, but it happens to all of us.
Not many of you guys talking smack would even have the balls to flip the prop and start it for him.

DA170, honestly.

@sheldonholy well it depends on the kit if it composite it wont be too heavy and wont need 400cc if its a classic balsa construction it might need it
