    my Canadian teacher always rectifies me to use the word "washroom" when I say "I am looking for the toilet." "Toilet" is a normal word to Hong Kong people, but it sounds kinda rude to North Americans.

  • to me, this is more of a feminine term, all my female friends say this, but guys just say "toilet" or literally use the term "take a piss" or "take a crap"
