Why do oathkeepers exclude those who are not in the military or police or fireman? There are many of us out there who have sworn to defend the US Constitution and State Constitutions who weren't law enforcement or in the military who love what the USA used to stand for.

I sure hope you are right, but somehow, I can't see the police and military turning against the corrupt politicians that their leaders serve. I think it will be the armed populace that has to protect themselves using their own militias. I served in the Fl National Guard for 8 yrs, 111th Aviation Atk Hel. Air Warriors. I completed my obligation in 98. A grandmother with 7 grandchildren. But, my oath to defend my country from enemies, foreign or domestic will end when I my body is laid to rest. Thank God this is a NONpartisan organization. I swore that oath when I signed up, and believe he and his organization is for everything I stand for as well, and am a proud (and armed!) "bleeding heart liberal" . I see absolutely no contradiction in this, and hope others feel the same as well, because if this remains a nonpartisan organization, then we can continue to grow and be strong enough to defend the constitution with our all when the time comes.

Look up the definition of partisan. We are all partisans; we're just not adhering to any Party. Partisan and Party member are not the same. Defending the constitution is exactly what I can get behind. I was referring to being nonpartisan in the context that the speaker himself used. I too took that oath when I joined the Army, and like he said, there is no experation date on that oath. Peace.

Yeah, I just get riled when people steal our words. They stole liberal from us and ruined it. They've stolen and changed the word regulated to mean 'control' when it's original meaning was 'to make regular' to keep 'properly operational'. When those who wish to enslave us twist words so they can claim that A is B, it makes me mad. Didn't mean to imply anything about your patriotism. I'm just a Founders Partisan and I'm damn proud of it.

We should take back these words and slowly re-integrate them into daily life the way they originally were meant. I do this every time I speak with anyone about politics. They make some comment about desiring non-partisan politics... and I always say that without partisan politics, we'd all be slaves. Then, I cover my mouth and grin and say... ooops, I guess that's already happened.... and we then have an argument around the 13th and 16th Amendments.
