here's a story I heard about this tune. I don't know it to be true but the story goes...The title was changed cuz Zeppelin wanted the Valens family to recieve the royalties from this tune. Since Valens death the family did not recieve much since Bob Keane owned the rights to Valens music and it is said that Keane was the one who initiated the lawsuit agaisnt Zeppelin. Like I said don't know if thats true guess I could look it up but nah don't want to
Pretty certain that almost every band you've ever listened to has covered songs that were originally played by another band/artist. Why is it such a crime for Zeppelin to do it?
@BuffaloOtters Because the other bands list the original writer of the song in the album credits, so that the original artist receives proper royalties from the cover. Zep just put their own names as the writers of their covers, ripping off people like Valens and Willie Dixon until they got their asses justly sued for thievery.
