hi! :) great video but iv been playing blues for a while now and i gonna try some country now but do you guys hawe any tips on getting country tone? what effects etc?
Hold the boat ! I'm only half way through this clip and I'm stomp'n my foot and smiling big. Brother, this is some excellent guitar playing going on now.
It's nice to know that you can get a good country sound from a Marshall, I got a class 5 that Im gonna give a go for a country tone as soon as I get my 52' RI Tele.
Keith Urban plays my Kelton Swade model 1953 "Brownie" telecaster...check out my website - just google Kelton Swade - find out why Vince Gill, Robben Ford, Doug Seven and many others play mine over the Fender! Thanks!
I am not a country music fan, Hobbsie. However, your chicken pickin' is pretty stinkin' great! It harkens back to Jerry Reed, Roy Clark & the guys who really knew how. Awesome job man!
Actually, i never ever used a thumb pick before this...this is about a month after I started digging into Brents stuff, I sand down the length of the thumb pick to make it easier to use..thats just me. Thanks for the comment! some of these are from the dvd, yes.
I made it myself on my BOSS RC-50 LOOP STATION, i just play a beat and record a simple rhythum and create a loop that just plays over and over... Go to the boss website and chech out what they do, they are a good practice tool...

Is the compressor the key to making your bridge pickup sound warmer?

Now that's how you play country licks on a tely!
Learning guitar has made me truly appreciate country music. ( although the radio top 40 country still gives me gas )
You're pickin' and I'm grinnin'!
