Reggae music got its roots from this music, Ska is the foundation for all the music out of Jamaica, ska was jamaica's first attempt to create a sound that was unique to our island. This was during the era of steele drums and calypso...........in the early 60's. The early musicians who passed away must be turning in their graves when they hear some of the shit that's been produced nowadays.
