Thanks for the great videos ..... I would love to hear your opinion on how to run compressors on a live show ... Do you like to compress the kick or snare or bass usually for example. Do you compress the main signal out .... I always have a problem with feedback when I start compressing vocals even a little bit so I have stopped using them ... they seem very finicky even with light compression. Do you makeup on the output of the compressor depending how much you are compressing? Anyway .. thanks
Hey bro... we have a tick tick tick tick sound (like a 60 minutes clock) in one of our headsets.... It's plugged into a wired conduit...We have swapped out the headset equipment trying to track down the source of the tick.... after watching your video I think the foil maybe bent in the cabling. Sound right?
@moviemantommy I don't think that would be your cause.......more likely you may need a "terminator" on the output of that belt pack. Especially if it's at the end of the "run" so to speak. Typically the terminator plug is a standard XLR that has a resistor of some value soldered across two of the pins. What this does is stop the "reflection" of the signal back to the basestation/PSU. Each manufacturer has their own requirements for terminating the last the beltpack in a series. Read the manual.
