    Why did you remove it?

the only rumor is that Greece has been badly run,

and the flame? sure. hollow threat.

The sad thing is is that Greece could do with being reunited with its self. the austerity measures are the thing of the rest of Europe's night meres .the return of the marbles would give the country the lift it needs.

bickering aside. I hope the best for Greece.

  • Speaking as a British person.

We bought them , we keep them and many more of the worlds treasures . If you don't like it, change history I dare you.

  • @Ashmansworth thats why you die as a thief......your history is the beer.....go drunk now...

  • @AlexSTi20

Im gonna go get a beer, walk over to the British Musem, look at the Marbles And Smile. :)

I suggest you grab your self a glass of Ouzo, and cry in it.

  • @Ashmansworth thank you for proving yourself about how SHAMEFUL IGNORANT OF ANY HISTORY AT ALL YOU ARE..fortunately every tourist comes in your museums agree that you brits are so thick and shallow and don't realize that ANY culture, ideals, theatre or other arts, language ARE STOLEN FROM US!

  • @dicso25

    No, "taken" and Improved.

I thank you Ancestors for the leg up, shame the apple has fallen so far from the tree.

and do you spend much time talking to people in our museums?

I'm the one smiling with a beer.

  • Speaking as a British person - these marbles mean little to us compared to what they mean to the Greeks. Many people here don't even know what they are or wish to see them. Museum curators here would say different but they would wouldn't they. I personally wish for them to be returned, they were stolen and despite any argument it's the right thing to do morally. Their fate should be in then hands of Greece.

  • Was it stealing, was it protecting, or was it both? It can be argued that were it not for Elgin, what was left of the Partnenon's frieze and pediments would by now be gone. On the other hand, in order to "protect" the "marbles" Elgin defaced and destroyed a great deal of what was left of the building. But whatever happened 200 years ago, can not be undone. Now it is time to reunite all the pieces and the obvious site for this reunion is Athens.

  • Britain and The British are NOW CRIMINALS AGAINST DEMOCRACY IF THEY DON'T RETURN ALL THE MARBLE STATUES & ART MARBLE PIECES, ALL GREEK DEMOCRACY CIVILIZATION MARBLE PIECES AND ARTIFACTS ALL BACK TO GREAT GREECE AND ALEXANDER THE GREAT OF SUPREME ZEUS-YAHWEH DEMOCRACY EQUIVALENCE GREECE AND ANCIENT EUROPEAN GREECE CIVILIZATION MORALE DEMOCRACIES, THE ENGLISH CRIMINALS AND FREEMASON-ARAB-SYMPATHIZERS OF CRIMINAL ARAB-OTTOMAN NEW PERSIA-ENGLAND IS ON THE LOOSE!!

  • Thank you for posting this evidence of barbarism. These items are stolen property. They belong to Greece and are part of the heritage of the world. There is no excuse for there not being returned. These museums are not "conservators" of anything they are horders! They are as irrelevant in today's world as zoos with cages.
