yes you kids are right MIA made this as a sort of love song to the rave scene that accepted her when she was a teenager in the 90's, which meant a lot to her as she of course had moved a few days after her 11th birthday in late July 1986 from Sri Lanka to the place of her birth, London (but she didn't remember London as her family moved to their native Sri Lanka when she was 6 months old). By January '92 at age 14 the rave scene was BIG in London and she finally felt at home in her hometown. :)
