The favorite only win 33% of the time. So if you always wack the winner you lose 33% or more of the time and you will lose, lose, lose.

You should look for the 2-3-4 other best ranked horse/odds and go for that.

For the rest of the time, i do not gamble, i just buy soon and lay later so i get my money back + when the horse i traded on win, i get a commission. 3-4 horse back high, lay low, per race is the secret.

Betfair is a complete Waste of time and money, and probably a very big SCAM,

You will never place a BACK bet or an LAY bet, and winn 100% of your bet (not because of the comission fee).

For instance you just wanna play arround and make a feew bucks/euros/pounds, and you see a Horce that has odds of 7 Back and 7.4 Lay. and you know for sure that he will win, and place a Back Bet on 7.0 to win, lets say 10€, if the price drift, you will lose money anyway, because you bet is not locked

happy hacker back bet at 5 would make £400 profit. If you lay £100 at 4.8 you would win £100. say happy hacker lost the race then your £100 would pay out. you also have the 5% commission that betfair take to calculate thats now a £95 profit.

Hey guys! I am new to Betfair and I am wondering if anyone could share their experience with in-play market at betfair? For what I understand so far about in-play is that at any time during the match, one can still back or lay.

I am just wondering and I know that for some sports, it might be harder to predict the outcome than others but having said that, then there is a better chance of winning by using in-play betting am I correct?

@ricardoespaniol yes, that is the bad thing bout betfair trading. it is very hard to predict. when anything can happen in the market. something happens in the event. betfair is for mugs. I trained in the trading and know it is like gambling. Trading is just a stupid term to differentiate from gambling. If you can lose money, it is still a gamble and that means risk. ok everything is risk, but if you put ur money down. be prepared to lose it.

Go to the Bet Angel website and download the free version of Bet Angel Basic..... that's the only way to make money on Betfair!

i dont trade , i bet. But most pros seem to trade IN PLAY. Study horse pace and trade off in play.

i honestly dont see how its possible to scalp trade without form studying and make big $ in the long term... unlike stocks,betfair markets are too immature(fragile/unstable) IMO. Bookies come in with $20000 and the market goes berserk. n i disagree with WOM, that method is so 2001...cmon lol
