Death Race Rules! Bike riders 200 points 500 if in spandex and 20 million googleplexaheadren if they have a Toyota spandex that is slightly too tight for their own good.
@PDXland37 Bikes are legal vehicles, thus legal they fucking have to be in the street, and in California they normally have bike lanes, sure it's not fucking perfect, but I don't want to be walking on the sidewalk and have to get out of the way of some asshole.
@Spaghettaboutit (voice becomes all mystical) in portland, pedestrians and drivers have to move out of the way for bikers! (the dream of the 90's is alive in Portland . ..portland . ..portland!)
@Spaghettaboutit they are legal on the sidewalk in Portland except in designated zones. I'm sorry it's confusing to you that laws may be different outside your area
Sure, I think it pokes fun at rich white hipsters who think its revolutionary to own a bike. It's a step in the right direction of course, and more people should do it, but to think that it makes someone a revolutionary for doing it is faulty, and any Black Panther, Weatherman, PLO member, or Zapatista will say the same.
Hahaha. Jesus Christ, this is perfect. For anyone who's never been to our beautiful city... Hipsters in Portland are unlike any you have ever seen. If there was a Hipster Pope, he would live in this city, amongst his unbathed, unjustifiably- pretentious congregation. In fact, Portland itself has become an adjective there. Synonomous with "irritating". But they all seem to think they're cool. Hooray for satire. I hope they break a local's fake glasses.

@SubfloorMusic Actually, according to Oregon law, bicycles are deemed vehicles and laws are enforced with this in mind. In fact, I was just pulled over on Wednesday morning because my red back light was out on my bike. Luckily, I didn't receive a ticket, but it's not unheard of.
60% of the time I see Fred Armisen in a video, he is dressed like a woman.
Just a simple observation.

cyclists should only get rights when they act like a vehicle and get licences. they dive into a crosswalk as a pedestrian then do 5 in a 50 zone.

Right on! Completely captures the disdainful attitude conveyed by my friendly local Pedal Power activists.
Also... I love how they're not even riding their bikes throughout the video's entirety.
