non gti/gli models are H7 for headlights, projector fogs are H11

i have a quetyon? i have a 2008 passat, i installed a 6.000k (55w) hid kit on the low beams, and i wan't to instal a 6.000 k (55W) on thefog light's ! .... i'm just wondering, won't it melt the plastic in the fog lamps ?????? cheers !!!

would you be able to tell me the process involved with this because i have an 06 jetta and i was wanting to do the same to mine. Im not sure if i need to purchase a different wiring kit for it or if i can just buy the headlamps from a gti

i have a question ...i have a jetta 2.5 . i put the GLI front end on it with fogs and stuff. wont the HID burn the lenses in those projectors? or are they fine?

The normal fogs are 'reflector' type, and I wouldn't put HID into those for any reason. but you can (and I did) order 'projector' type fogs (glass) that will be safe with any aftermarket bulbs. :)
