RIP CW... I was lucky to play with him at Bullard. You knew he was gonna be playing on Sundays! A great teammate and leader. Tragic and sad to see he didn't get to show what he could do in the NFL. It was an honor to play with you Curtis! I guess the Lord needed a free safety for his team ;)
I kicked for Lindsay in 1994 his sophmore year at Coalinga. I was told not to kick the ball to him and guess what, i did, and guess what, nobogy touched him. He touched the ball 4 times that day and had over 200 total yards with 4 TD's. He was the greatest talent i ever played against.
I played on for Bullard the Year before he touched down in Fresno. He was a great man. I wished I could have played my senior year at Bullard but I moved to Rancho Cordova, RIP Curt and Coach Stewart
I was the fullback in this video, #24. Curtis was one of my best friends my senior year. He moved to Fresno after the first qtr of our junior year and was a Knight from there on. Curt was a warrior, all the way till the end. He did things on the field that most can only dream of doing. We miss you Curt! RIP #2 BHS - #25 UW
i've never heard that last part before. it was a terrible tragedy but at least he's resting now with his heavenly Father. everytime i hear UW is playing Stanford it makes me think of him.
RIP CW as far as him being from Fresno??? Well that's his Senior Year....Lived in Avenal YES....Grew up in Huron Yes....Home High School Coalinga High...Still have video of him from Pee Wee football...Yes the Coalinga Oilers.. and even then you knew he was Special...
Yes, Curtis was from Huron Ca, just like his older brother James William who was in the NFL. Huron mite be a small farming community but it brought out some good talent.
yeah i remember him talking about a couple different places near Fresno including Huron and Coalinga. he also talked about his brothers a lot and how James wanted him to go to Fresno State! thank God he chose the Dawgs instead!
I grew up with Curtis in Huron,CA. That is where he grew up not Fresno, Coalinga or Avenal. I made a tape of Curt's Coalinga football highlights, when we were young. It has the Ice Cube song "Wicked" playing in the background. The last time I asked Curt about it, he said he let one of his friends from Fresno(Bullard) use it. If anyone from Fresno has access to the tape, please post it here or email me please. Thank you.... Curt, RIP bro. You are missed and greatly remembered. We love you.
