  • the one u used to support the shoe whilst it was drying? thank you

  • @abitigger101 I didnt buy it, I printed it from the internet. The template comes complete with the support. Just write high heel shoe template on google image and you will find it :)

  • can i ask where u bought the support that u have used please? i have searched online but cannot find anything that is even similar to urs! fantastic video, going to try it for my mums 50th birthday cake! xx

  • @abitigger101 Which support?

  • Thank youuu! I'l use this tutorial to make some with modelling clay, so I can do some molding and casting :D

  • please, is gumpeast thesame as flowerpeast?

  • @ritaojo No, they are not the same. Gumpaste is sugarpaste with tylo powder and flower paste is something different.

  • Very simple and easy to follow video! Thanks for making this so easy! I see most people on here who kinda take away from the instructions with too much talking. Just show me how it's done and save the yapping! You rock! I'm subscribing to you!

  • @MzTJones80 Thank you :) It is good to know that some people appreciate my work.

  • Thank you for your response. By template I meant the blue support you are using to hold the sole and heel. You didnt buy that? where did you get it from then? thank you

  • @78persia I got it with the template. Any support will do otherwise try to find shoe templates on google.

  • I went to smith website, but i cant find the template. is that where you bought that blue template you are using?

  • @78persia I didnt buy the template, I found it online.

  • can i use it or not??

  • @xXxNeonPrincessxXx You can use anything you want but it doesnt mean the end result would be the same. I would use fondant!

  • can use fondant instead of gumpaste?

  • @claudiatanaz The shoe wont hold its shape

  • I turned my nike into high heels because of this video <3 :) thankyou!!

  • Not sure if my post went through, it was awaiting approval. Just wanted to ask that yyou give credit to Nati for the original tutorial and template on Cake Central.

  • @cakescouture I have to say that this tutorial is made by me following th instruction I found on the template that was on cake central. I didnt follow any tutorial already created! I can give the credits to the person that has provided the template but not for the tutorial because it is my own.

  • can i use fondant icing to make this shoe?

  • @givememoore22 Unfortunately you can't, it wont hold its shape, you need to add tylo powder to your fondant.

  • excellent tutorial, i found yours to be clear and most straight forward to understand. thank you for creating this video!

  • @TheSufyaanKhan Thank you so much :)

  • I tried the shoe and found the template on line but the gumpaste cracked and I have to start over. Also, it was difficult to get the inside of the shoe poofed out..it tended to take the shape of the tissue paper and dried weird. It looked a bit like a witch shoe...I might use a shoe form in the toe...I had a cute design but it collapsed...so sad!

  • @golfergal You could use a pieace of card board shaped into a curve and add that as support instead. Tried to glue the parts of the shoe with edible glue instead of water and let the shoe dry after adding the heel, it will be easier for you to manage it.

Hope next time it turns out better.

  • cant find template..says its gone

  • @NIKL19 Oh that is a pity! I dont have it in my laptop either, sorry.

  • fantastic!

  • hi, from where did u get the template?

  • thank you sooooooooo much!

  • @HOWELLBY my pleasure :)

  • where can i buy the design stamps u used? any links online? thanks!

  • @thecakeldy From Lindy Smith website

  • plz send me the template @

    sweet_beeco@hotmail.com

  • awesome tutorial....simple and straightforward. I followed your instructions step by step and I made a beautiful little shoe. Thank you very much.....First time ever creating something with gumpaste.

  • @strutterkissgene I am so happy to hear that :)

  • THANK YOU - THANK YOU - THANK YOU! What an AMAZING tutorial. I have to make a pillow cake with a Cinderella shoe on top and was completely lost as to how to make the shoe. I can't thank you enough for taking the time to make this wonderful tutorial. I can't believe that you even told us where we can print out the template. You are truly a life saver. Your the best!!!

  • @cakedecoratingmomma Thank you for such lovely comment :) I hope everything goes to plan and you make a wonderful shoe. Good luck! Take care!

  • man at cake shop told me to use pastillage 4 making shoe but it dried really quickly and kept getting cracks! should i have used this ?

  • @TheSlinkjoker Pastillage should be used only for constructions that really need to be quite hard, such as walls, towers... For something that you need to give some kind of shape, it is best to use gumpaste instead because it is much more flexible and it doesnt dry as fast. Give it a try and you will see a big difference. Good luck!

  • your video is fab, but it keeps stop starting on me ???

  • @kimberley2022 Strange! it may be your connection? That doesnt happen to me. I will check it anyway

  • Very pretty. Thank you!

  • @testing4echo My pleasure :)

  • Looks very good, well done :)

  • @eloxqueen Thank you

  • CONGRATULATIONS..

  • @1023cake Thank you :)

  • What is the 'glue' ? Thanks.

  • @73cupcake Tylo + water = glue

  • great.. can u guide me where toi buy alphabet stamps or the small ones u have?

  • @thealifam I bought them from Lindy Smith website.

  • Where did you get the stamps to make the impressions? I love the size.

  • @beckresort From Lindy Smith website

  • Well done. I think I can make one now. Music is nice also. If you know how to make a moth orchid, I would like to see that too. 5 stars here

  • @ccshark80 Thanks :) I will try to make more tutorial on how to make flowers.

  • This was awesome. thanx so much.

  • @ciccocenta Thank you :)

  • i know this is a stupid question but wat is gumpaste and can u eat it

  • @daoquynh29 Not a stupid question at all :) Gumpaste is sugarpaste with added tylose powder which makes the sugarpaste more flexible and easy to work with as well as drying harder. You can eat but with care because it can be quite hard once dry.

  • Thanks to your tutorial and template I've just attempted to make this shoe, I'm leaving it to dry so keep your fingers crossed!!! I didn't have gumpaste, only rolled fondant which I added a bit of royal icing powder to - think that'll work?

  • @njoycakes Royal icing?? I dont know what is going to happen :S Let me know :D

  • i cant find the shoe template anywere D:!

  • @XxbambiexX1 @XxbambiexX1 If you go to cakecentra,l go to gallery and then to scketches and look there otherwise go to articles and write shoe and you will get an article featuring that high heel shoe, there there is a link to its template.

  • Wow I loved the care and detail you took with the shoe **** fabulous **** The tutorial was brilliant, no nonsense, lots of information and such lovely hands, you could be a hand model!

    Cath x

  • : ) Thank you for your comment. Yes you can get the support there as well.

  • Wow thankyou so much for replying so quick :) Il give that a look!

  • Thank you so much for your kind words :)

  • Love this! Thanks so much for sharing this.

  • :) thank you for stopping by.

  • how do you make a sandal?

  • I havent tried any yet but I am planing to make one. I may record it.

I think you can use the same method just changing the top, making it open.

    Hope this helps

  • Oh, what a very polished and professional video, but not everyone has acess to Cake Central to download the template provided by Nati of Cakes By Nati. (plz give people the credit they deserve!)

  • Thanks :) I was taking anyone's credit away. That is a shoe I made using only the templates which are public. I do give credit to myself in this video because it is my own way of making a shoe. Nati may have hers and I thank her (whoever she is) for sharing the template with the world.

  • Thank you for taking the time to make this video... now I will dare to try this myself. :)

  • I love sharing my knowledge, specially with peole who appreciate it like you :o). Thank you for passing by and leaving a comment. Take care ;o)

  • WOW this is very nice =) but i have a question is it possible to make this high heels out of fondant icing? thanks =)

  • Yes it is but fondant is quite difficult to work with because it is not as flexible as gumpaste and it doesnt try as hard.

  • thank you so much for the information =) we would be using your high heel shoe as topper for our cake festival.

  • That is wonderful! I would love to see the final result :o) Good luck and if you need anything, please dont hesitate to ask.

  • Where did you buy the support template that you laid the sole on?

  • I didnt buy it. If you go on the website I provide, you will get everything you need for the shoe.

  • That was fabulous! Thank you for your generosity!

  • It is my pleasure :o) hope it is helpful and useful

  • Great Job!

  • Thank you :o)

  • hi im just starting out but im making charms, where do i get the stencils and templates and i would also like to know if u can do a purse

  • The templates are on the website provided om the video. About making a purse, I dont think I will be making one any time soon, sorry.

  • Fabulous. I used printed directions to make a shoe within the past month. It was trial and error (more error), wish I had done a video search. I made it work, but...Thank you - next time it'll be easier!

  • I am glad that you found my video and that it helps you :o)

  • hi can i use regular fondont to make this?

  • The thing with fondant is that it doesnt dry as hard as the gumpaste and it cracks easily. You can make gumpaste by adding 1/2 teaspoon of tylo powder to a 250gr of fondant.

  • Well, I mean the piece that you used to form the shape of the shoe...but yes, I would love to have a template as well! :)

  • Oh ok! You can find it on the website I am giving for the template.

  • Great! Where can I find the website link for the template? Thanks so much again!

  • Wonderful and informative! Can you tell me where I can find the form you used?

  • Thanks :) Form? do you mean the template?

  • Great vids but man I wish you'd ditch the music and talk us through the process instead. Thanks!

  • Thanks Nivia. I just have one more question. Is the board foam or acrylic? I need something like that in acrylic thats smooth. Sorry to be bugging you so much.

  • Dont worry! I dont mind when people ask question, I love helping :)

It is made from a special polymer, giving it virtually non-stick performance which makes them ideal for sugarpaste and modelling paste.

    Hope this helps.

  • Thanks Nivia, I found one on the net and will order it, its exactly what I want. Thanks again and keep up the wonderful work.

  • Nice :) good luck with the shoe!

  • This was very informative. I really have to try this one. You are inspiring me to dust off my tools and try new stuff again. Thanks so much for posting these videos. Where did you get your green board? I really like the size of it.

  • Thanks so much for your comment, it brings a smile on my face :) The green board I got it from ebay but you can buy it from any cake decorating store or website.

  • Nivia! Well done - love this tutorial- will have to try it one day!

  • thanks sweetie! You made a very cute pair of shoes for one of your cakes, I love them as well. I am trying to find how to make a gumpaste purse, how did u make urs?

  • I did it half in my sleep so dont remember very much - I think I cut out a rectangle shape & 2 small circles (for the ends of the handbag). The rectangle piece draped over a rolling pin to shape the front & back of the bag. I think I also trimmed the rectangle so that the bag would be slightly tappered at the top before drappingover the rolling pin.

  • The circle ends were glued on after it was set. The handle was a rolled out to a long rectangle piece an a small flower wire wrapped in the middle & the handle folded into shape to set. Once set I just placed in the bag - the handle actually touches the bottom of the bag & stays in place that way; )

  • I will try it and see how it turns out. thanks

  • ps love this song too!

  • wow very nice

  • Thanks for giving out the website for the template! I didn't have the piece to place the form on to shape the shoe so I made one up! They came out great!

  • Great! You should take pictures of ur creations and then make a video :)

  • Excellent tutorial!!!

  • I am glad that it is so helpful! :)

  • Thanks :)

  • Thank you for the tutorial!! I'm entering a cake into a competition this weekend. I think I will try this shoe:)

    What glue would I use??

  • Hi there,

Godd luck with the competitio :)

You can make edible glue out of CMC powder. Look for a youtube channel called aine2, she has got a tutorial on how to make edible clue.

  • Thanks for that tutorial! I have one question: Where did you get that platform you were working on? Is that foam?

  • Sorry for the first reply, I didnt read your question well. I bought the rolling board from ebay but you can find it on any cake decorating website.

  • What a great tutorial Nivia. I love that shoe!! I must try to make one - I think my little girl would love that for her next birthday cake ... she loves shoes too!!

  • My daughter is crazy about my shoes. It is so funny to see her wearing them around the house :)

  • OMGosh Nivia!! What a great tutorial! (love the song also lol) I've been thinking about making a high heel for a while but never have gotten to it! U've inspired me to go for it though! Good Job!

  • I am so happy that it is so useful. You just need a bit of patience and it is not difficult at all :)

  • thanks so much for the tutorial. Looks great! Very easy to follow.

    Thanks for sharing

  • Thank you for telling that it is easy to follow, although my hand gets a bit on the way. :)
