@abitigger101 I didnt buy it, I printed it from the internet. The template comes complete with the support. Just write high heel shoe template on google image and you will find it :)
can i ask where u bought the support that u have used please? i have searched online but cannot find anything that is even similar to urs! fantastic video, going to try it for my mums 50th birthday cake! xx
Very simple and easy to follow video! Thanks for making this so easy! I see most people on here who kinda take away from the instructions with too much talking. Just show me how it's done and save the yapping! You rock! I'm subscribing to you!
Thank you for your response. By template I meant the blue support you are using to hold the sole and heel. You didnt buy that? where did you get it from then? thank you
Not sure if my post went through, it was awaiting approval. Just wanted to ask that yyou give credit to Nati for the original tutorial and template on Cake Central.
@cakescouture I have to say that this tutorial is made by me following th instruction I found on the template that was on cake central. I didnt follow any tutorial already created! I can give the credits to the person that has provided the template but not for the tutorial because it is my own.
I tried the shoe and found the template on line but the gumpaste cracked and I have to start over. Also, it was difficult to get the inside of the shoe poofed out..it tended to take the shape of the tissue paper and dried weird. It looked a bit like a witch shoe...I might use a shoe form in the toe...I had a cute design but it collapsed...so sad!
@golfergal You could use a pieace of card board shaped into a curve and add that as support instead. Tried to glue the parts of the shoe with edible glue instead of water and let the shoe dry after adding the heel, it will be easier for you to manage it.
awesome tutorial....simple and straightforward. I followed your instructions step by step and I made a beautiful little shoe. Thank you very much.....First time ever creating something with gumpaste.
THANK YOU - THANK YOU - THANK YOU! What an AMAZING tutorial. I have to make a pillow cake with a Cinderella shoe on top and was completely lost as to how to make the shoe. I can't thank you enough for taking the time to make this wonderful tutorial. I can't believe that you even told us where we can print out the template. You are truly a life saver. Your the best!!!
@TheSlinkjoker Pastillage should be used only for constructions that really need to be quite hard, such as walls, towers... For something that you need to give some kind of shape, it is best to use gumpaste instead because it is much more flexible and it doesnt dry as fast. Give it a try and you will see a big difference. Good luck!
@daoquynh29 Not a stupid question at all :) Gumpaste is sugarpaste with added tylose powder which makes the sugarpaste more flexible and easy to work with as well as drying harder. You can eat but with care because it can be quite hard once dry.
Thanks to your tutorial and template I've just attempted to make this shoe, I'm leaving it to dry so keep your fingers crossed!!! I didn't have gumpaste, only rolled fondant which I added a bit of royal icing powder to - think that'll work?
@XxbambiexX1@XxbambiexX1 If you go to cakecentra,l go to gallery and then to scketches and look there otherwise go to articles and write shoe and you will get an article featuring that high heel shoe, there there is a link to its template.
Wow I loved the care and detail you took with the shoe **** fabulous **** The tutorial was brilliant, no nonsense, lots of information and such lovely hands, you could be a hand model!
Oh, what a very polished and professional video, but not everyone has acess to Cake Central to download the template provided by Nati of Cakes By Nati. (plz give people the credit they deserve!)
Thanks :) I was taking anyone's credit away. That is a shoe I made using only the templates which are public. I do give credit to myself in this video because it is my own way of making a shoe. Nati may have hers and I thank her (whoever she is) for sharing the template with the world.
Fabulous. I used printed directions to make a shoe within the past month. It was trial and error (more error), wish I had done a video search. I made it work, but...Thank you - next time it'll be easier!
The thing with fondant is that it doesnt dry as hard as the gumpaste and it cracks easily. You can make gumpaste by adding 1/2 teaspoon of tylo powder to a 250gr of fondant.
Thanks Nivia. I just have one more question. Is the board foam or acrylic? I need something like that in acrylic thats smooth. Sorry to be bugging you so much.
This was very informative. I really have to try this one. You are inspiring me to dust off my tools and try new stuff again. Thanks so much for posting these videos. Where did you get your green board? I really like the size of it.
Thanks so much for your comment, it brings a smile on my face :) The green board I got it from ebay but you can buy it from any cake decorating store or website.
thanks sweetie! You made a very cute pair of shoes for one of your cakes, I love them as well. I am trying to find how to make a gumpaste purse, how did u make urs?
I did it half in my sleep so dont remember very much - I think I cut out a rectangle shape & 2 small circles (for the ends of the handbag). The rectangle piece draped over a rolling pin to shape the front & back of the bag. I think I also trimmed the rectangle so that the bag would be slightly tappered at the top before drappingover the rolling pin.
The circle ends were glued on after it was set. The handle was a rolled out to a long rectangle piece an a small flower wire wrapped in the middle & the handle folded into shape to set. Once set I just placed in the bag - the handle actually touches the bottom of the bag & stays in place that way; )
Thanks for giving out the website for the template! I didn't have the piece to place the form on to shape the shoe so I made one up! They came out great!
What a great tutorial Nivia. I love that shoe!! I must try to make one - I think my little girl would love that for her next birthday cake ... she loves shoes too!!
OMGosh Nivia!! What a great tutorial! (love the song also lol) I've been thinking about making a high heel for a while but never have gotten to it! U've inspired me to go for it though! Good Job!

It is made from a special polymer, giving it virtually non-stick performance which makes them ideal for sugarpaste and modelling paste.
