  • King Yellow and Joesy is the widest combination ever.

  • riddim????

  • Massive Dread sings his own variation of `Battle of New Orleans` by Lonnie Donnegan. Great video! Plaudits go to Eek-a-Mouse for an entertaining mic-exchange, dressed as `Speedy Gonzales` with a red handkerchief. Big-Up King Yellow!

  • @FoxApeHumblebeeC02 thank you ma man! but i can't find it here on youchuube!

  • what's the massive dread chune?!

  • "Mi slong it long mi slong it long", man thats epic Jamaican shit right there!

  • Bad bwoy Police Chief Isiah Laing (Leng) in the video, him and Cornwall Bigga Ford used to give most of the rude bwoy dem back then a hard time. Peter Metro sang a song "Bad bwoy yuh a fi fit yuh a fi fit, fi run from Laing." Bigga Ford had a shoot out with the very famous Jamaican bad man Nathaniel "Natty" Morgan in 1991. Supercat sang a song about another bad bwoy of the day Wayne "Sandokan" Smith. Anthony Tingle otherwise known as General Starky was a next one. Today it's Dudus Coke, I guess.

  • It was a segment from a show called The Tube, and it was also re-broadcast as Jools In Jamaica. I'll be uploading the rest of the documentary but I'm afraid there isn't any more from this live show in it.

  • i watched it when it 1st was shown on C4 'Jools in Jamaica' & recorded it, but lost it. It starts off with Black Uhuru. I've looked for the whole doc, but only found bits of it. Hope you have more luck than me finding it

  • @steveffc I have the docu on old VHS tape, but am not a wizzard in taping it over digitally. Quality is ok, though, not mint but watchable. Docu is great all over, with features about Perry, Dennis Brown, Wailing souls, Black Uhuru aso.

  • Eek A Mouse - Legend

  • what song of billy boyo? (2.57)

  • king yellow

  • Yellowman is a really nice guy. He walks with authority. I met him at a Goldfingr set one night in Red Hills and he was so cool. I think Jamaica is stuck on superstisions and that is basicaly why they treated Albinos that way. Yellowman changed the attitude about that because he was widely accepted.

  • eak a moue BAM! BAM!!

  • Eek-a-mouse with that pose 3:51 is funny, he gets the biggest response from the crowd

  • lee van cliff!!!

  • Whats that RIDDIM OR TUNE EEK A MOUSE IS ON?

  • white ppl came from black albinos!!!!THE BLACK RACE IS THE ORIGINAL RACE!!!

  • Sevenup313, we only belong to one race: human.

  • Big eek!

  • Comment removed

  • theres truth in that

  • I agree with your overall argument, but would credit that type of ignorance to the time people where living in. Because the same can be said of the treatment to Rastafarian.

Jamaicans and all people behave that way to things and people that they deem different than them.

  • I understand what you are saying but I believe is ignorance more than hypocrisy. There are a lot of myths that exist to this day and sad to say I believed them when growing up in Jamaica,

There was a time when DJ's refused to use the microphone after Yellowman. Unfortunately the discrimination of albinos is worldwide.

  • well they looked white so they figured they were oppressing the oppressor. boy were they ignorant.

  • Indeed I hear ya...it almost sounds like babies fighting over a bottle.

"until the color of a man's skin is of no more significance than the color of his eyes, then we shall know true peace" - B Marley.

  • this is kinda a stereotype but jamaicans hate the shit outta the gays too

  • It is a stereotype, not all Jamaicans hate gays.

  • @spectralmusic wtf are you talking about, if you are talking about yellow man as far as I know it was his mother that sent him to an orphanage.

What I find superior about Jamaican culture, is that the same albino yellow man became the KING of Jamaican music. Not KING of a niche or merely patronized as would have done in western cultures, but KING accepted and loved by EVERYBODY.

  • tonksred on the scene has your yellowman lyric machine

  • What's the Joint playing the background?

  • billy boyo!

  • what song of billy boyo? (2.57)

  • jools the tool

  • Eek a Mouse at 356.

  • EEK!!

  • This is absolutly exclusive reggae footage.

It's taken from a documentary from Jools Holland about reggae, it was shot in '84.

Jools Holland was, is still one of the BBC's most known presenters. He's also an exellent musician!

The whole docu is great, with features about Lee Perry, Dennis Brown, Wailing Souls and some others, a classic!

  • if you have to ask who's singing at 3:56, then you're dumb as hell.

  • whats wrong with people wanting to know? If u have an expectation that people should know, then u have to understand that some people are just getting into reggae/dancehall. Let the people know! spread the word of good music.

  • Speaking from a white mans perspective. We all have to learn from somewhere mate.

Let's not try and make reggae music exclusive to only the white ppl of the 40+ age bracket pls. P&L

  • how does that make him dumb? there must have been a time when you didn't know who eek a mouse was..
