The Talwray - I'm glad to share this video, I keep hoping to see more film of Bad Hersfeld. Thanks for watching it. Over 40 years ago, but the memories are still clear and never to be forgotten.
207nkf - I'm sure glad you watched my video, you were there at that time so you know how much fun it is to see it again. If it was not for thedeitz website, I would not have been able to show this to anyone that was there in the late '60's. If you know anyone else that was there, please tell them about this website. Thank you for your comment. 577fred1
If anyone out there knows some of the GI's in this film, I sure would like to hear from you. I hope some of the people in the film would comment too. This is a time in my life that was important and also a lot of fun.
I want to thank you Gaither very much for posting this video. I wonder if there is any other old movies out there. Thanks to Deitz my movie is being watched once in a while, most people don't seem to care much for watching it, but if you were there, it means a lot. I hope some of the guys who were stationed with me from 67 to 69 will notice it and find "thedeitz" like I did. Gaither has done a wonderful job with his website and I wish many more GI's who were in Bad Hersfeld would see it.
@577fred1 Roger your last, this was my pleasure. A movie of our time there is rare and worth posting and I know some others feel the same way. A good thing about youtube is the video can be stopped at anytime, reversed, fast forward etc.. Lets keep our fingers crossed and maybe other movies will show up.

Whitsun I visited Bad Hersfeld with my bike and I lived in the "Gästehaus Reinhard". The house I was born in Hersfeld now dosn't exist. A new building with 18 nice lodgings will build now. I looked from my parents house direktly to the barraks on the "Hohe Luft". Now I lost my home. I hope to meet Deitz very soon in germany to have a good conversation about old Hersfeld, where Deitz and me were born in 1948. Come on Deitz - have a next trip to old Germany! You will have a good tourist guide!
@Puschelpu75 Thanks for your comment. Fred Mens a 1968 14th ACR Hq Trooper sent me this video. We were there at the same time, in the same building, drove the same type track and never met.
