Hey man, I know this is old, but do you think you could help me out a little with this? I know this is a pain in the neck for you so I'm sorry, but do you think you could tell me what plugins/addons and whatnot I need for LCDHype? I've searched all over and still am clueless.
@Oneshootonekill Thank you! I read that forum, and got the the lights (side lights, touchpad LED, and mail LED) to work. I found a Predator's blinking LED example script, and also tried the bass example script. The bass script however, didn't work. It would show the WinAmp music info on the Asus LCD but the lights would just stay static, even when a song was playing. May I ask what script and plugins you are using in the video? Thank you very much, I really appreciate your help.
@ZooYorkVenom You have to put with f9 the Gaming led on Blink by putting ctrl-shift-f9 and then put the menu on Winamp oscillator or bars !
This works only if you have followed all the passages like putting the winamp script in the folder of winamp. I paste my comment, tell me if u did everything !
@Oneshootonekill I put the WinAmp script in the WinAmp folder. But I just don't know what script to use. How do I put the menu on the WinAmp oscillator? Is that already included in the example Bass script? Thank you for helping me out.
@ZooYorkVenom Unfortunately my g2s is dead, geforce 8600gt broken, disassembled from motherboard,a famous production bug that shows itself with high temperatures...If I well remeber, taking for sure that you made right all passages,I switched functions by f8 and f9 with ctrl and shift,I u did all right u should see the bars with winamp running in the little screen... I don't understand where u get stuck, perhaps Winamp needs some option checked ? Don't remeber :\ Let me know, anyway
Now its time to give it a fresh new life... its time to install a fresh retail copy of Snow Leopard on this bad boy to maximize the beautiful power of the Asus G2S gaming laptop! Well worth it...
@Oneshootonekill Well I don't game but use to before and had the GPU 8600M GT overclocked at to its max... temps didn't go up that high and played games in full specs with no issues.... What I have done a few days ago after upgrading the ram to 4GB, i opened the whole laptop. Dsassemble it completety and took advantage of taking off the old Thermal pase on all chips and aply new fresh Artic Silver 5 the right way. Now my PC runs quietly withough having the fan at full blast all the time.
I also notice when I had it open that my G2S had the nVidia 8600M GT vA2 which is much better than vA1 gpu that first batch of G2S Asus pushed out at lauch. On ebay there's a business that will fix your Asus G2S mobo or any problem for $85 + shipping and if you want to upgrade the GPU to version A3 just ad $20 more. vA3 of 8600M GT fixes the overheating problem that many have on Asus G2S and Macbook Pro's that have the same graphics card build in. Still cheap to fix I say...
did u try fn+F9? its the touchpad enable/disable button (at least it is for g50v). othervise go search ASUS drivers in google and go to the ASUSTek site and you'll find all the drivers...
hey buddy, isw there a way to do all that light blinking, considering i use xp as my primary os on my g2, more simply id like to be able to just have the light stay on instead of flashing while using dx
OneShoot.... I have an Asus G2S and I can't seem to extract drivers from the lcdhype/controller directory i get a bunch of errors. You have any suggestions? I have version 0.6 of lcdhype
